It’s a Grand Night For Singing and Celebrating. My favourite awards show, The Oscars, is set to air LIVE SUNDAY FEBRUARY 24 8e|5p on ABC. The Oscars will be televised live in more than 225 countries and territories worldwide.
I am very excited that one of my favourite female singers of all time, Barbra Streisand, will be one of the artists to introduce the Best Picture Nominees, along with Chef José Andrés, Dana Carvey, Queen Latifah, Congressman John Lewis, Diego Luna, Tom Morello, Mike Myers, Trevor Noah, Amandla Stenberg and Serena Williams.
Other presenters include: Javier Bardem, Angela Bassett, Chadwick Boseman, Emilia Clarke, Laura Dern, Samuel L. Jackson, Stephan James, Keegan-Michael Key, KiKi Layne, James McAvoy, Melissa McCarthy, Jason Momoa, Sarah Paulson, Elsie Fisher, Danai Gurira, Brian Tyree Henry, Michael B. Jordan, Michael Keaton, Helen Mirren, John Mulaney, Tyler Perry, Pharrell Williams, Krysten Ritter, Paul Rudd and Michelle Yeoh. So, that list covers a lot of territory. Something for everyone.
But, hey, we can’t forget the Nominees, can we? Of course not.
Here is the list on the official Oscar.Go Page.
I rarely get excited about the Documentary Category, but CNN’s RBG has changed all this. As my go-to news source, I have fallen in love with their amazing documentaries and, among them, RBG, has risen to the top of the heap and deservedly garnered the praise of the Academy Awards community. So, I am seriously rooting for this CNN win.
Who are your favourites? Please share your thoughts and comments prior, during and after the Oscar show in the comments section.
I didn’t watch in real time, but I’ve been peeking at highlights all day, and all I can say is QUEEN RULES!!! (I love me the shots of the audience members especially, getting a peek at which stars rock on and which were just bewildered.)
