  1. Some of the talent in last night’s show was superb–I’d like to see Poplyfe, The Miami All- Stars, Daniel Joseph Baker, Lys Agnes, and Team iLuminate go through to the next round. The Miami All Stars looked like they were already in a Broadway production!!! They are great. Poplyfe is terrific too! And so are the others! Very impressive.

  2. I agree with the judges regarding the Russian Barr group. That was all kinds of weird from the guys flying around on ropes, to she hanging upside down on a piano, singing terribly. They totally blew it! What a shame! Daniel Joseph Baker just keeps delivering! I was quite impressed. Beth Ann Robinson is such a beautiful dancer. I wonder if Nigel Lythgoe and some of the others from So You Think You Can Dance have heard about her, and watched her last night.

Miami All Stars and iLuminate are so top notch in this competition!

  3. Those are my picks as well Louise.

Anita – I agree. The Russian Bar trio blew it. I wonder how much of this is being manipulated behind the scenes by AGT. Maybe they wanted to do something else but weren’t given permission.

  4. Well, I watched the performance & results shows last night. Generally pleased wih results but was truly sorry to see Daniel Joseph Baker leave. I love West Springfield Dance Team but I just don’t think they are at the same level as Daniel is. I was surprised – no shocked – by the judges’ choice. But I am sure that we have not heard the last from this very very talented young man.

Otherwise I think America got it right. Team iLuminate is truly amazing and I think if they continue to perform at their current level they will win. Miami All Stars were wonderful – great choreography perfectly executed. I love love love the lead singer of PopLyfe. And I think Lys stepped up to the moment with a lovely performance. I think she is a very good singer and she made an excellent song choice. It framed the best part of her voice while allowing dramatic high notes. I think she is a mezzosoprano with a great top.

I was also sorry to see Beth Ann Robinson leave. She is a talented young lady. Zuma Zuma also delivered what I thought was an excellent performance. I was touched by the story of he member who died.

Three acts were disappointing. Russian Bar trio was a huge let-down. What were they thinking?? I don’t agree with the theory that they were manipulated backstage. I think they made the decision to give that weak performance. Matt Wilhelm’s first performance was definitely better than this week’s. And Kevin (??) chose a bad song. But he’s got a very nice voice, he’s a pleasant guy & I hope that he can find a career somewhere.

Did I get everyone? Oh, I missed the comedian. I think she’s very very good. I loved the Christina impression – it was spot on. But I think comedians are at a disadvantage in this format. It’s hard to come on & do a 2 or 3-minute performance.

I am really enjoying the show. Kudos & thanks, as always, to MCL for introducing me to it. Can’t wait for next week – Landau Eugene Murphy!! And Gymkana.

  5. Yes, I was very surprised by the judges’ decision to eliminate Daniel Joseph Baker. It made absolutely no sense to me. None.

I loved the precision and creativity of the dancers but feel Daniel had much more to offer talent-wise and entertainment-wise.

Poplyfe and Team ILuminate are standouts from this group but Landau Eugene will give them a run for their money in the finals. As well as Silhouettes and Gymkana.

And let’s not forget young Anna Graceman and magician Landon Swank

It’s going to be another exciting semi-final show next week!
