X-Factor USA Promotional Video

So, what do y’all think? Simon is a master at producing shows, isn’t he? And building drama and suspense. I never did like that song. Watch the video, you’ll know what I mean.

When Rosanne graduated from O’Gorman High School, she moved on to the University of Toronto where she continued her piano and vocal studies while attaining a Bachelor of Arts Degree. 2. I’m really going to have to think long & hard about watching this show. At this point, I’m inclined to say “no”. There’s just a sliminess about him that’s going to be hard to ignore.

  5. darlene-chuckling about the blake shelton withdrawal comment. 🙂 🙂 i didn’t know who he was before ‘the voice’, and i too, totally love the guy. such a good, decent, fun, sincere, down to earth guy. i mean, really, i could have him over for dinner. 🙂

regarding the promotional video…i’ll give the show a chance just like i gave ‘the voice’ a chance. i never really could handle paula and her inability to make sense, and i didn’t like the paula/simon faux ‘fighting’, so i’m certainly not hyped up about that part of it.

and i didn’t like the ‘pussycat doll’ person on dwts, so i’m not looking forward to her either. sooo…other than the big ‘personalities’ of the show that i’m not interested in, we’ll see how this goes…

Darlene and Bee…you two talking about Blake is so funny…My mom has seen him in concert and that is all that she has talked about for a long time; I wasn’t a country music person until after I had heard Scotty; but anyhoo, after watching him on the voice, I am like daggone Mom, now I wanna go see him in concert…!

  7. I’ve always liked Simon, even though I know he’s got an ego problem. The song used for this video is a horrible way to promote this show. It makes me wonder about his intentions with the contestants, and how he’ll treat them. Will it seem like he’s out for blood, and be more cruel than ever? Another thing that really turned me off was the other male judge saying to a contestant that he could slit his wrists! WHAT IN THE WORLD! That was just unbelieveable!

  8. still on the blake subject: yesterday i watched vh1’s ‘behind the music’ which features various artists. this was about miranda lambert. i recorded it because i know nothing about her either. she was a very interesting subject. miranda participated in the country version of idol (nashville something i think) and came in third. one of the judges worked for sony, and got her connected with sony. she was (is) very close to her dad who was very influential in getting her started on her musical career. when she met blake he was married.

  9. From what I’ve read about the UK version of this show, it is very cutthroat and slimy indeed. That taken together with the fact that Mr. Cowell and the producers of the show in Britain were forced to admit they used auto-tuning on some of the singers makes it a complete turnoff for me. Simon was dubbed the “X-Faker” by the British press. As you may recall, the producers of American Idol rushed to make an announcement shortly thereafter that they had never used auto-tuning on A.I. I believe them, by the way. I mean, how many times did we hear Randy in particular say the word “pitchy”?!

I could have gone to see the Seattle audition show gratis (they were offering tickets for free), but i declined. Judging by this promo, I made the right choice.
