About Masterclass Lady

Rosanne (Giallonardo) Simunovic began her musical career in Timmins, Ontario. She studied piano with Anne Pizzale and later, at an advanced level, with Soeur Anita Vaugeois (Sister Cecile of Les Soeurs De L’Assomption in Timmins). Her vocal and accompaniment skills were nurtured by her aunt, the late Dorothea Mascioli. When Rosanne graduated from O’Gorman High School, she moved on to the University of Toronto where she continued her piano and vocal studies while attaining a Bachelor of Arts Degree. She was hired as a piano accompanist for several musical companies, most notably, the National Ballet Of Canada. She presently holds an A.R.C.T. Teacher’s Diploma in Voice from the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto. Rosanne has studied choral conducting with numerous well known Canadian Conductors, including Wayne Riddell of Montreal, Quebec and the internationally renowned Dr. Elmer Iseler. She has been a founding member of numerous community-based arts organizations: the Timmins Arts Council, later known as Arts & Culture Timmins, the Timmins Symphony Orchestra, and, the Timmins Youth Singers…as well as the TYS Alumnus choir, the Timmins Concert Singers. In 1987, she was also selected to be the conductor of the Timmins Board Of Education Choir, comprised of talented students from Grades 5 to 8. In 1988, she was elected to the Board Of Directors of the Ontario Choral Federation (now known as Choirs Ontario), where she served as Chair of the Festivals Committee for six consecutive seasons. In 1996, in honour of the Ontario Choral Federation’s 25th Anniversary, Rosanne was selected as one of 25 recipients of the OCF’s Distinguished Service Award for outstanding contribution to the choral art. The ceremony was presided by Lieutenant Governor, Hal Jackman. In November 1997, Rosanne Simunovic was selected by the Rotary Club Of Timmins to receive the prestigious Paul Harris Award for her years of dedication to the artistic development of young musical talent in Timmins. 1. I didn’t know if you had seen David video of Crush and if you wanted it on any of your threads. I thought maybe this would be the best place to put the link. Here it is:

  2. For some reason that link isn’t working so if you want to see it go to and it is on there front page.

  3. Hi there Gemzone and welcome:

I know there were many Youtube videos online yesterday, but I didn’t feel comfortable posting them because the video of “Crush” hadn’t been officially launched via television.

I will add a link to FansOfDavid.Com very soon – I am busy with singers now, but will add it late ron today or tonight.

    Thanks for stopping by.:)

  4. I just can’t keep sweet things to myself. Here’s David with his “lovely” cameraman.

It sounds to me like David is trying very hard to fine the “sweet” in bittersweet, like the week before high school graduation, you start missing your friends before they’re gone. sniff~sniff

  5. Woops – did it again — Janey and I are on the same wavelength!!! – she was posting the Detroit “space tunnel” above- while I was posting it on the Wilkes thread thread!! Sweet indeed!

    Moving my post here:

Only three shows left! In his latest and ?last vlog from the tour (with a little help from the Lovely Mr. David Cook) – David himself says the tour end will be bittersweet:

As I watch this video appropriately set in Detroit’s “space tunnel”, I imagine David walking down that tunnel and then taking flight out into the stratosphere of music history.

Bittersweet?? – I can not wait to watch him fly.

Thank you Janey for keeping up with the links!!!!!

Thank you Gemzone for your information on the “talented triumvirate of Archuleta, Archuleta, and Parkinson” – there is never a me, myself, or I from these men.
You will never hear them give much credit to themselves for anything, it is always “somebody else” — well, just WHO is this somebody else, I would like to meet somebody else —somebody else is immensely talented.
Thank You MCL for all of your time and wonderful reviews- – just like each night it is as if you are hearing David singing the songs for the first time, each of your write ups are fittingly unique.
