  8. Wow! What a difference between that beautiful speech by Obama last night and Trump’s fiasco of a press conference this morning.

Trump’s attack on CNN – a legit news source – is an attack on freedom of the press. Reminded me of what I learned about Mussolini and Hitler in high school.

  10. Oh, my. I watched President Obama’s farewell speech last night and cried. I am SO sorry that he will be leaving in a week, and SO frightened of what lies ahead for America. I supported our president from the very beginning, and there is NOTHING that I support about Trump.

  14. Rocker Chick, you are telling many folks to wake up and again judging. Let;s not judge others. We have that American right to vote….. I never once judged anyone on Obama for the two terms that he served, i was never once happy about him but never displayed that either…… Hillary Clinton lost and people just have to accept that and move on……..

  16. Absolutely correct, David Cook Fan. Trump will take Nixon’s crown as the most dangerous, the most law breaking, the most paranoid, the most abusive, the most corrupt President in American history. It’s not just Democrats who are concerned about him. There were many Republicans concerned as well.

  17. It’s not just his lack of knowledge of politics and foreign affairs that many people are concerned about, it’s his temperament as well. He’s an egotistical bully.

  22. I completely agree with Rocker Chick, David Cook Fan, and Idol Girl. I used to think that Bush and Cheney were the worst leaders ever because they got us into a needless war, but I never imagined the citizens of our country would elect a president as despicable as Trump. All politicians lie to an extent, but Trump rarely ever tells the truth. How can we possibly respect him as our country’s leader? He is completely corrupt!!!

  23. Of course the inauguration that took place today as the 45th president was sworn in will more than likely not be mentioned. But may god bless this new president and that the troubled hearts and not so supporters of this man; may we all stand behind as a country and help it be become a great nation again, and it be led with leadership and not by same old politics……. I am so grateful to see that the country is looking in a new direction. Thanks to the new generations that are seeing things differently……..

God bless Donald John Trump, and hope his haters will be silenced by his presidency, only time will tell that……

  24. Thank you, President #Obama, for eight years of reasoned, fact-based, and rational leadership. We appreciate the fact that you:
    – rescued our economy from the Great Recession
    – extended health insurance to 20 million Americans while reigning in abusive insurance industry practices
    – brought us 74 straight months of job growth while taking serious steps to begin reducing economic inequality
    – enacted sensible Wall Street reforms
    – created the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau
    – rescued the US auto industry
    – took real action to improve air quality and curb climate change
    – began to reform our criminal justice system and reduce mass incarceration
    – advanced the cause of LGBT equality
    – kept us out of a war in Syria and negotiated a treaty to keep Iran from getting nuclear weapons
    – ran the most ethical and scandal-free Administration in decades or longer
    – served as a positive role model who spoke up for decency, respect, and inclusivity
We are going to miss having you in the White House, but know that you will always be our President. #ThankYouObama

  28. I speak for most Americans when I say that I will never give him a chance. This is not a liberal/conservative thing. At this point I would be thrilled to have Mitt Romney as president. I’d even take George W. Bush. Donald Trump isn’t just someone I disagree with on policy and economy. He is a terrifying, sick, monster. He’s a pathological liar and a sex offender. He is not my president. He never will be.
