Boy, what a drama – fest last week. Lots of underhanded comments and maneuvering. Oy!  The knives were not used to only eat the food, that’s for sure!  Heaven help us!

In the end, four members of the Blue Team – Claudia, Derrick, Ailsa and Christopher – were involved in a  two-phased Pressure Test where they had to cook a Gordon Ramsay speciality – strip steak.  Then, Gordon chose his two favourite strip steaks, cooked by Claudia and Derrick.  Derrick was singled out as the clear winner; however both were saved from elimination this week.

Therefore, the second Pressure Test was a cook-off between Ailsa and Christopher. They were tasked to cook a rare filet mignon for Gordon Ramsay.

In the end, Christopher won the day and MasterChef said goodbye to Ailsa.  Best of luck to her in her culinary career. It’s all about the journey and how you embrace it.

This week, the home cooks must create an elevated breakfast dish in 45 minutes.  The challenge winner receives advantages that include immunity in the Mystery Box Challenge, in which the contestants must make TV Dinners. I love it!

MasterChef Season 6 airs on Wednesday, June 24th on Fox at 8:00 PM.
