Over the next three weeks, the viewers will be treated to the drama and excitement traditionally known as Hollywood Week.

This is the point in American Idol where the curtain rises to reveal the strengths and weaknesses of the singers. Can they withstand this pressure cooker experience or not?

Also, we may come to notice singers that, perhaps, were flying under the radar and, for whatever reason, shine when the moment is right.

And, make no doubt about it, this is the right moment. Time to leave your nerves and insecurities at home where they belong. Either you want to excel on this show or you don’t. Or can’t.

You have to be ready and, very often, many talented singers just haven’t refined or ripened their performing skills. Preparation is key and the very best realize this and have worked extremely hard to take full advantage of this opportunity.

American Idol airs on Wednesday, February 4th and Thursday, February 5th at 8:00 PM on Fox.

Okay Idol fans – what are your thoughts about this season? Are you excited? Have you spotted any favorites yet? Let’s get this party started.

  3. I loved most of the advancing singers last night. Glad to see Savion back in the fold but the competition is pretty fierce this season so we shall see what happens.

Trevor and Adam were standouts but, I have to emphasize, it is still too early to pick favorites. Plus some of the female artists had unique styles.

It is going to be a great season. Bring on Top 24!!!

  4. Was Trevor the 16 year old kiddo who did the song from the Hobbit? How mature and self confident (but not cocky). Love this kid.
