Another year, another Emmy Awards show to kick off the Fall TV season.

The awards show is slated to air on Monday, August 25th at 8:00 PM on NBC. The host this year will be the always entertaining Seth Myers.

I am not crazy about the majority of the nominees. Same old, same old, year after year. No Blacklist love? Or MasterChef? Or Bates Motel? Seriously? My eyes are rolling here – these shows are brilliantly produced and the acting in the drama series is outstanding.

What a disappointment!

However, what won’t be disappointing will be Billy Crystal’s tribute to Robin Williams. I am sure it will be a fitting and sensitive memorial and will move the hearts of the viewers.

Enjoy the show everyone. Comments are now open for business.

  1. Yes, total shock: Modern Family for comedy, Breaking Bad for drama. Good is good but really???Let someone else win for once. I don’t watch a whole lot of TV (love love love Castle, and right now we are following “The Last Ship” – My sister told me that in “The Leftovers” the dogs have turned evil & are being killed so I’m avoiding that one like the plague). Plus our old standard CSI (Who would have predicted Ted Danson would be so good in the role once filled by William Petersen?). One of these days I’ll have time to sit down & watch the 2 seasons of “Game of Thrones” that are sitting on top of my TV set. Thanks, MCL!!

  2. On the other hand, I was thrilled to see “Sherlock” pick up three Emmys! I adore that show. 🙂

  3. Oh, and mustn’t forget Sara Bareilles’ rendition of Smile. She’s one of my favorite artists.

And of course the tribute to Robin Williams was both laugh- and tear-worthy.
