I wasn’t able to watch The Voice last evening but have enjoyed browsing the videos this morning on YouTube.Com.

And, I have to say that the Battle between Caroline and Danielle was a very strong one, given that they performed the very laid back rendition of “Put Your Records On”.

Song selection! Song selection. Their Team Leader and Coach, Blake Shelton, chose the perfect song for these teenage gals. The song highlighted the most positive aspects of their vocal and performing ability to a “T”.

In the end, Blake chose Danielle as the winner of the Battle and Adam wisely stole Caroline for his Team.

Usher wanted Caroline too and I am actually surprised that Caroline didn’t select Usher, given his track record with The Biebs!

Personally, I thought Caroline had the strongest performance of the two and, to me, seemed to be the most marketable. Thankfully, she is still in this competition and we shall see more of her when the Knock Out rounds air in a couple of weeks.

However, both young ladies are deep contenders! Which girl did you pick? Comment away.

  1. MCL, I kinda liked Danielle. Yep she has a strong very trained voice and is adorable. But nothing I haven’t heard before. Caroline however has a voice I have never heard before. Her use of the breaks in her voice is very interesting. Her tone is also unique and I find that I am just drawn in and listening closely to Caroline sing to figure out what she is doing vocally to get her sound.

MCL can you explain what Caroline is doing to get her sound?

  2. I actually like Caroline better. I hope Adam knows what to do with her. I do like The Voice, but American Idol still remains #1 for me!
