Monday Morning Madness: X-Factor Gossip

Honestly, I cannot believe the lengths to which producers will go to ensure a successful show.

According to the Mirror, the X-Factor executives, which includes Simon Cowell, are encouraging X-Factor judge, Cheryl Cole, to dump her boyfriend, “Dancing With The Stars” pro, Derek Hough. Well, that’s a tad rude, don’t you think?

This demand is number one in a series of changes aimed at helping her to crack America. Other changes for her include a style consultant to help transform her image and a fitness guru to help her lose weight and get in perfect shape for TV appearances.

Wow. I guess this whole X-Factor thing is extended to everyone on camera – including the judges. If so, why can’t they get Simon to lose the t-shirt? I mean, really. Is this a gender thing – the ladies must look chic and glamorous, to the point of faultless, and the guys can look as if they just rolled out of bed?

But it gets better. The article further stated: “Cheryl has been criticised over her choice of outfits for red-carpet appearances – particularly her purple flares – while Paula, 48, won glowing reviews.

And there was further embarrassment two days ago when the TV advert for the show was released on US networks. In it, Cowell lavishes praise on Paula and Reid, 54, but does not say Cheryl’s name. Her picture flashes up last in the 30-second ad under the title “platinum-selling artist”. Yikes!

Plus, Cheryl and Simon have been fighting like cat and dog during the preliminary auditions for the show. Plus, plus a woman, who confessed to Simon and Co., that she murdered her husband auditioned for the panel of judges in Chicago. All of this makes my head turn many, many times.

This is a nice, juicy, mindless article, open to lots of discussion here on the MCL Community. Rant away everyone!

  1. Hi MCL. Just saw this online.

They’re saying that the reason she’s not going to be the host is her English accent might be hard for Americans to understand. How sad. They’re also saying they’re considering Nicole Scherzinger to step in. Hmmm…..thinner? Cuter? Lordy lordy.

  2. Saw this Darlene. It’s disgraceful. We know the real reason behind her dismissal. She probably didn’t want to break off her relationship with her boyfriend. I can’t get my head around the demands imposed on her by Simon.
