  7. Before posting this on the other thread I tried to find out about the “director” but was unable to do so, but I thought it was interesting, nontheless. I’m glad becky was able to identify its lack of authenticity. In any case, it’s a great preview of things to come!

Even though this video is “unofficial” it gives us the benefit of showing the album cover in relationship to the video and song. It’s a very interesting dynamic. I think it gives David’s image a new depth. Tonight on another blog, Brett Hale posted, “Lupe (David’s mom) was over to our home today and she hadn’t actually seen the cover…even though she helped him pick it out…I hope I’m ok telling this, Lupe looked right into David’s eyes and said; “oh look at our David”…it was pretty moving!!!”

So David and mom picked out the cover.

  8. All of the “fan” generated photos of David do such a better job at capturing both the outer and also inner beauty of David than the professional photographers.

And now this “amateur” Promo video — could be the real thing to me.

Sometimes I think David does not need Jive — his fans could just run the show!

At first I was not to sure what I thought of the album photo — it was David “roughened up” . A few weeks ago a blogger had posted that David was “too nice” and needed to be “roughened up” and have an image make over in order to “make it”. I asked her what is wrong with being too nice, too sweet looking – and why should David be the one to have to change — we are the ones (society) that need the changing.

Oh well that photo has grown on me – and I see the point, the genius really, in this photo showing the serious artist — and if David and Lupe picked it out — what can I say.

    Good night Janey and company!
