Any closer and she would have been on stage with him! You get to see his head bobbing up and down in unison with his leg using the sustain pedal. He must have been listening to MCL about the need to over sing the high IT at the end of the song — he sings it in lower key.

There are some good videos of WYSYLM by others, but I am waiting for more postings from Becky given her great vantage point!

The Charlotte show has already happened, MCL, so I don’t know if you’re still reviewing the Lexington performances. But, here is a partial of “I Don’t Wanna Miss A Thing”, notable because at about the 1:40 mark, Cook takes a cell phone from a fan in the audience, who was evidently holding it up so that the person on the other end of the line could listen. He then briefly sings into both the cell phone and the microphone at the same time! I’m guessing that’s a phone call that whoever was on the other end of the line will never forget!

ReReader – oh my, I have to listen to this CD and I will.
Never did I expect to be so busy with this tour and I certainly didn’t anticipate for the summer to be so visitor friendly.
It’s all be great, though. I am just really exhausted today, so will slowly get back on track later on today.
I will listen to my Jason CD – supposedly, the next two weeks are quiet here, so let’s hope it stays that way so I can complete my obligations to you and the rest of my loyal readers.

Finally – time to review the Lexington show attended by the gals from FansOfDavid.Com. The sound is great and David sounds terrific in the first verse and first refrain. I can’t see his face, but, boy,his voice sounds so focused and resonant – lots of ring and clarity throughout his range.
When he reaches the second refrain, his voice remains the brilliant instrument that we have come to know and love.
And the “yeah, yeah” part is really, really good – so passionate, so energetic. And he has reworked the melodic variation during the lyrics “wherever it may take me”, keeping it simple, thus ensuring a smooth, flawless vocal. The “it” problem is history. All fixed! Yea!
This was a dynamic, powerful performance of this song. Excellente!

Now, David changes his mood for a little apologizing. Great shot of David on the overhead screen. I love watching the emotion of the lyrcis mirrored in his face and, of course, his voice.
And that ryhthmic descent down the stairs gets me every time. What a disciplined young performer he is! A real treasure for the music industry.
As always, the head voice is gorgeous – pure and centered – and it compliments the richness of his middle range. I get chills hearing all the nuances in his voice during this song. Tremendous stuff!
And listen and watch how he focuses his voice on the bending “yeah” parts. That “a” vowel is ringing through my computer speakers – it is so clear and so well-focused.
Outstanding performance, David!

You’re right, ArchieFanDoc – he does take out the earpiece. It may be because the song is performed a cappella – percussion only, therefore he doesn’t need to hear the orchestration?
But, then he would need them during the upbeat portion during the “beautiful girls” segment because the orchestra does “kick in” at that point. Hmmmm – that’s a tough one to answer. Let’s see if he puts them in before he starts to dance, but I don’t think he does.
Anyway, I am having fun watching the fans trying to grab David. Love his arm movements during the “tumble and fall” segment.
I love how he practically runs into the “beautiful girls” segment – like he can’t wait to dance and sing. He looks so happy, so carefree and he sounds so, so outstanding.
Oh, he doesn’t pop the ear piece back in and, actually, the orchestration is still prominently percussive, so maybe the earpiece was a hindrance more than a help in this song.
Whatever – this was a fantastic performance – a blend youthful enthusiasm and vocal excellence. Doesn’t get better than that!
When You Say You Love Me http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rkr2i9qavJM
Now, did he just pop the earpiece back in? The camera wasn’t quite centered, so I couldn’t see, but I thought that his right hand moved up to his right ear. It would make sense, since the full orchestra is backing him in this lovely song.
Listen to the FOD gals saying “I love you David”; he loves you too gals, I am sure!
I hope he records this song – ne needs to record this song. Oh my, that first upper note on the word “fly” was so pure and so perfect. Round, round mouth and supremely focused vowels.
The passionate artistry of this performance is overwhelming. His voice sounds outstanding tonight – rested and healthy.
And listen to the applause at the end of this song. Applause reserved for superstars only!
Oh he’s so cute = “let’s get this party started” – before he introduces his big Cookie brother. Love this kid!

At the 1:40 mark, David has a little surprise for a fan listening via a cell phone. That is the funniest thing in the world and only Cookie would think of this. Great singing – a little tired tonight – but his voice is always such an emotional instrument. And so distinctive.
