Rosanne has studied choral conducting with numerous well known Canadian Conductors, including Wayne Riddell of Montreal, Quebec and the internationally renowned Dr. Elmer Iseler. Vid of WYSYLM:

Sound not that great, maybe a better one will appear today.

Of more concern, was the following comment written by one of the cellcasters on Rickey.org:

“- Archie seemed…sort of tired and out of sorts. I’m not sure if he might be sick, or upset, but he just seemed kind of unhappy, and very out of breath between songs – more so than usual.”

The writer didn’t say much good about any of the performers’ singing, so not sure if this is simply seeing the difference in a live performance, rather than on the toob, or not an Archie fan.

Here was another perspective of Archie’s singing, which has a different view. Obviously from a fan:

“Then, sadly, came “When You Say You Love Me” by Josh Groban. Let me just say this as a Grobanite: His version is LEAGUES over Josh’s right now. He OWNS that song, & I will no longer listen to Josh’s because it now sounds stilted & studied to my own ears. The depth of emotion & purity & THOUGHT he poured into this song… Chills. Absolutely awe-inspiring & tear-inducing. If I had 1,000 hands to do the thumbs-up sign with, he’d have them all with that song.”

AIFan – thanks for sharing this information. I have no doubt that archie is exhausted. Not only does he give 200% of himself on stage, he makes himself extremely accessible to the fans before and after the performance.

His heart is so large and that is why we love him so, but, I will be really glad when this tour is over. He needs – at least – a full month to himself.

This is SBM from http://www.dailymotion.com — the best video/audio to date – like being there! (well, almost).

If does not embed – go to the web site, put stand by me in search, select by most recent, and it’s a few rows down.

This is worth the effort! The best audio/video – it is (almost) like being there.

ArchieFanDoc – I just watched Stand By Me and it was phenomenal. What a superb performance. The video was so close – the best I’ve seen yet on this song.

You could see David’s wonderful facial expressions and excellent technical and performing skills. I felt I was right there in the DCU Center.

Archie just glows during this song, doesn’t he? I love to see him relax and just have plain fun on stage, as he so obviously does when he sings this number.

Thank you so much for the link.

AIFan – although the video and audio quality wasn’t the strongest, David’s performance of “When You Say You Love Me” sure was!

As always, he performed this song with heart and soul, with style and substance, leaving no artistic stone unturned when the song ended.

This song is a perfect example of perfect A&R (Artist and Repertoire) material for David. This is the direction to which he is heading and I am loving every minute of this.

    Thanks so much.

The videographer can’t settle on a video angle – first the stage, then the screen, then the stage. haha. Oh dear – my stomanch! Too much vertigo

Jason sounds extremely good however. The phrases are still somewhat fragmented and he breathes a little too often within the phrase lines, but, at least his voice is remaining focused and resonant.

During the earliest stops of this chaotic tour, I remember Jason had a breathier vocal sound that what we are hearing now. Now, we are able to enjoy the rich timbre of Jason’s voice and, as he continues to work on his breath support, this level of vocal confidence will increase for Jason. He will be more capabable of creating seamless, uninterrupted phrasing within his melodic line.

And, once he allows his mouth to remain circular while sustaining his pure vowels, this technical skill will encourage him to support his voice more consistently from the lower half of his body where the dipahragmatic breathing muscles are located.

However, everything in time – this was a still very solid and expressive vocal performance! Kudos jason!

    Crazy, uploaded by astridk909: http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=uDNor7UxscY

I love hearing his speaking voice. Listen to the rich and robust timbre of his voice! Gorgeous.

And you can hear elements of this in his singing voice – his mid range is brimming with head voice and this translates so beautifully when he enters his upper range during the refrain. His vocal timbre sounds so bright and centered. In fact, his entire range is seamless and smooth – nice even texture throughout the melodic line.

And he songs this song so expressively, so musically. Wow – he is really hitting those upper notes, isn’t he? But, Jason, round your mouth on the “ee” vowel in the phrase “just like me.

And don’t forget to sustain your last upper note “ay” diphthong int he word “crazy” on the oure “eh” vowel – with, of course, a round mouth and relaxed jaw.

And listen to the applause after he finishes this number – it is thunderous and justifiably so. This was a confident and musical performance of this soulful number. Excellent, excellent work Jason! Bravo!

    Daydream, uploaded by lonelyheart95: http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=zDpY7p2nO28

Well, I can’t imagine that this song will be nothing short of stellar, given the success of his first two performances. And it most certainly is!

The instrumental background is superb in this number-something that is not really evident on these videos, but during the live performance? Spectacular!

And, speaking of spectacular – Jason! Wow- just wow! You have been transformed into a star on this tour. Your performing ability has been rising and rising to more confident heights and, as a result, your voice sounds refreshed and invigorated because of this newly discovered confidence.

Your excellent vocals and genuine charisma is a marketer’s dream. “What a day for a daydreaming boy” indeed. You are not going anywhere anytime soon – except straight to the top! Fasten you seatbelts, Dreadheads and get ready for the ride!
