Hey all you Canadian Idol fans! I need your help here! I wasn’t able to watch the Top 24 performances of Canadian Idol, so I have no idea what happened.

So, until I have an opportunity to watch the YouTube video content, please share your comments.

Who were your favorites and why? Who has the best technique? The best charisma? The best artistry? The entire package? Go nuts – but, in keeping with the vibe of this site, be respectful of the singers and their fans.

  1. Hi, MCL. All the Canadian Idol videos are up on DailyMotion and this user always uploads them an hour after the show ends:

I thought the best singer of Day 1 was Tetiana Ostapowych – she picked a good song for her voice as well. Lisa Bell and Jessica Sheppard were also really good.

For Day 2, it was Theo Tams and Amberly Theissen – both had plenty to offer in both the vocal and charisma departents.

There were also a few who I would call “hot messes”, but I’ll refrain from mentioning their names. Everyone else was somewhere in between, although I think Omar, Sebastian, Katelyn, Marie-Pierre, and Mookie show the greatest promise, along with the singers I mentioned above that are still in it. Can’t wait to hear what you thought!

  3. I agree with thetomboy on Tetiana being the best vocalist. I loved her arrangement of FEELINGS and how she made it modern but didnt’ take away from the origanal song.
I wish American Idol had the caliber that I saw on Canadian Idol in the first week. WOW!

  4. Thanks for your insight everybody! I still have to watch the clips on YouTube and Daily Motion; however, I thought the small ensemble numbers on the Results show were terrific. Great, great idea!

  5. Well, I watched the Day 2 singers and lost count. Were all of the singers uploaded to Daily Motion?

Nevertheless, I thought Amberly gave a lovely performance and, although Katelyn and Omar had some pitch issues, they distinguished their performances with their unique vocal timbre..

I also loved Jesse – thought he gave a solid, believable rock performance.

I will watch the Day 1 singers tomorrow.
