Musical superstar John Legend will join returning judges Kelly Clarkson, Blake Shelton and Adam Levine as they begin their search for the best voice in America on the first week of the Blind Auditions on Season 16 of The Voice.

The show is set to air on NBC on Monday, February 25th and Tuesday, February 26th on NBC. Once again, Carson Daly returns as host. I always forget to mention him so I am giving him a well-deserved shout-out.

Also, The Voice Band is lead by Musical Director Paul Mirkovich.

“A Los Angeles native, Paul Mirkovich is the musical director for “The Voice” house band. As musical director, Paul is in charge of putting the perfect band together, and he knew exactly where to turn. Having previously worked with Sasha Krivtsov, Nate Morton and Rafael Moreira for many years, he reached out to these same musicians when it came time to form a new band. Aside from “The Voice,” Paul also does musical directing for artists such as Pink and Cher, where he gets to help put their live shows together. He draws influence from musicians from all walks of life including Chopin, Gershwin, Led Zeppelin and Joni Mitchell. Paul has over 30 years of experience working in music, from touring to TV shows to session work. He thoroughly enjoys working with “The Voice” house band and loves that he knows exactly what he will do each day – creating the best arrangements that will suit singers in the most positive way.”

  3. I don’t have a favorite yet but there is one who comes to mind who I took notice of and her name is Beth Griffith-Manley. She is the daughter of one of the Funk Brothers and is a back up singer for Anita Baker. The Funk Brothers were the house band at Motown and recorded hundreds of hits.

Her Dad was Johnny Griffith who became Aretha Franklin’s first piano player. She sang Aretha’s “Until You Come Back to Me” and joined team Kelly.

There is also a country singer, Dexter Roberts who went to Top 7 I believe on American Idol who sang well in his audition on The Voice. I think he went with team Blake.
