No – we haven’t gone back in time. So, don’t let the picture fool you. Former Judge, Piers Morgan, is back for the final week of Judges’s cuts before the live shows begin at Radio City Music Hall.
Heaven help us – this show has dragged on and on this year. Last year at this time, the live shows were in full swing. I know it is their 10th Anniversary and the Producers wish to reflect on their past accomplishments but could we have not celebrated it in a more timely fashion during the Live Results Shows?
On the other hand, August, traditionally, is when people start thinking of the new season and schedules tend to gravitate more to the indoors rather than the outdoors. So, with that in mind, people are more apt to park themselves in front of their TV sets rather than frolic in the park. So, this may have been the rationale behind the delay in the live shows.
With that being said, 7 acts per week during the Judge’s cuts have advanced to the live shows. This brings us to a total of 21 acts to date. After, this week’s show, there will be 28.
However, the show is aiming for a Top 36 so I am assuming that 8 Wild Cards will be added to the mix. And they will be announced on this week’s show. So, if you have a favourite act that has not made the initial cuts to the live shows, there is still a chance. However, this is an hypothesis on my part so don’t take these words to the bank just yet.
America’s Got Talent airs on Tuesday, August 4th at 8:00 PM on NBC.
I have watched some of the show and probably missed a terrific act or two. Who are you (all) impressed with the most? We’ve been watching Major League Baseball.
