MasterClass Monday: Michael Buble’s Amazing Acoustic Cover Of “Home”

IMG_1505

There is a reason why I love Michael Buble so much. It is his heart. Pure and simple – his heart. His vocal delivery is always pure and authentic and this acoustic performance of “Home”really accentuates this very fact.

Michael tries to incorporate an acoustic set into the majority -if not all -of his concerts. It his way of, not only connecting in a more personal way with his audience, but also accentuating the traditional performing style that catapulted him to stardom.

He has been blessed with a beautiful, God-given voice – a voice that envelopes the beautiful melodies he chooses to perform. Without his voice and signature style, the songs would fall flat, literally and figuratively.

He knows the value of inflection and subtle nuance and, to this end, has developed an impeccable method of articulating his lyrics. With Michael, one never has to strain to understand a lyric – the words are always front and center.

And don’t even get me started on his beautiful approach to phrasing! This is what separates him from the rest of the pack. He bends a phrase with such ease and flexibility, adding a another layer of expression and ingenuity to his signature style.

He will go down in Music History as one of the greats, along with Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole, Tony Bennett and so many others who have carved a legendary career in this genre of music.

You can download Home on iTunes.

Have a listen and be inspired. Also, special mention to his excellent guitarist, Dino Meneghin, who beautifully accompanies Michael in this video.
