Okay – let the Christmas Blog Topics begin!!

It’s December and that means the TV shows will be all decked out with everything Christmas and/or Holiday-themed. Man, I love this time of year so much. Totally the best!

And nothing kick starts Christmas like NBC’s offering of the Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony during their special, Christmas In Rockefeller Center.

Here is what is happening on Wednesday, December 3rd on NBC at 8:00 PM, courtesy of NBC.Com:

“All-New Wednesday, December 3 8/7c. Mariah Carey, Prince Royce, Darius Rucker and the Rockettes will join the star-studded holiday special, “Christmas in Rockefeller Center,” airing live from Rockefeller Center Wednesday, December 3 beginning at 8/7c. Carey will open the holiday program with a very special performance of her No. 1 smash hit “All I Want For Christmas Is You”.

The show will be hosted by “Today” anchors Matt Lauer, Savannah Guthrie, Al Roker and Natalie Morales, and will also feature previously announced performances from Lady Gaga & Tony Bennett, Cyndi Lauper featuring Billy Porter, Seth MacFarlane featuring Sara Bareilles, Idina Menzel, Pentatonix, LeAnn Rimes and Trisha Yearwood.

The 82nd annual holiday extravaganza will feature an 85-foot tall Norway Spruce from Hemlock Township, PA. It is approximately 90 years old and weighs approximately 13 tons.

Prior to this year’s primetime telecast, an additional live hour of the special (7:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. ET) will be broadcast by select NBC stations. Check local listings.”

I am anxious to hear the Tony Bennett/Lady Gaga Collaboration. I PVRed their special and have yet to watch it; however, from all accounts, it was fantastic.

Their album, Cheek to Cheek (Deluxe Version) – Tony Bennett & Lady Gaga is available on iTunes. It is wonderful and will have you toe-tapping around that Christmas Tree in no time.

Enjoy the show everyone and bring along some egg nog when you stop by the comments section.

  2. I agree with Idol Girl. Trisha Yearwood also sounded better than some of the pop singers.

  3. Oh I know. I think they must have told Lee Ann to cover up. I was winding why she was wearing that overcoat. I thought she was cold – but then I saw the outfit underneath. Not exactly family – friendly. And Mariah and Gaga were equally disgusting. Dress classy ladies.
