Child Star, Shirley Temple, Dies At 85. Oh The Memories!

We lost another great one!

On Monday, February 10th, beautiful and engaging child star, Shirley Temple Black died at 85 years of natural causes, surrounded by her loved ones at her home in Woodside, California.

She was and will remain the most gifted of child stars, influencing a legacy of child stars as the years rolled by.

However, her greatest gift was her and vivacious presence every time she graced the silver screen. She was an honest, perhaps precocious, but always loveable little girl that every adult wanted to adopt and every child wished to emulate.

As the years moved on, so did she, paving a road totally removed from her show business career. She maintained an enviable career in politics while raising a lovely family.

The current crop of young artists can learn a great deal from the manner in which Shirley Temple balanced her career with her personal life.

She was always the consummate professional and never had to give in to the attention-seeking escapades that so many young starts seem destined to do in this day and age.

She is survived by her three children, as well as grand and great-grandchildren.

The MasterclassLady.Com Community wish to express our heartfelt condolences to Shirley Temple Black’s family and friends. R.I.P. Shirley. Your legacy will continue on screen and through the lives of the wonderful family you nurtured.

  3. What a great child role model Shirley was to follow. She was the package: talented as a singer, dancer & actor! I should rent a movie to share with my youngest Granddaughter (the performer). RIP, Shirley.

  4. She was wonderful, she was a great performer, and she was one of the few child stars who went on to have a family and a great career even though it was removed from acting. I watched The Little Princess not that long ago again.. how amazing she was. RIP.
