Angie Miller And Adam Lambert Perform A Haunting Version Of Titanium

Was this the most beautiful moment on the American Idol Finale or what?

Adam Lambert and Angie Miller gave an exceptional and memorable performance of the song, Titanium. Their vocals were absolutely stellar and the harmonies impeccably tuned.

Both are extremely sensitive and skilled artists, who truly understand the importance of nuance and inflection in vocal music. And the musicality and flow of their phrasing was a Masterclass in and of itself. So much shape and color. Just beautiful!

This pairing was truly inspired. And Angie has quite the career ahead of her!

Enjoy the video below and comment away!

  1. You know the commercial where the guy is sitting and talking to the little kids and he asks them which is better…More or Less and the little girl goes into the spill about wanting more?

Well that is how I felt about Adam last night…I want more, I want more!!! LOL I would just have rather he sang, Gosh I miss hearing him!!!

And then they cut him out and had Angie sing with whomever that was!!!

I love Angie and was so desperate when she was voted out 3rd. In my opinion she is current and brilliant and Candy is not. Kree will prosper anyway being country. Angie is amazing. Loved seeing David Cook on tv with his new song. For he epitomises star quality.

  3. This was my favorite performance of the night.

  4. PS. The video is blocked in the US😦

  5. Janey – the video is blocked in the US? Now THAT is strange.

Thanks for your comments everyone. Keep them coming!!!

  6. This was my favourite moment of the night, Angie was my favourite artist of the year.
I think that they were trying to position Candice as one of the great voices possibly along side greats like Aretha Franklin . Time will tell. That was a very different time with the Mahalia Jackson’s and so on.
The music scene is very fractured now, very few great ones

  7. Angie did a wonderful duet with Candice and a wonderful duet with Adam. I am always surprised when a list of the top moments of the season is given, the duet with Candice isn’t there. There is point in the Candice duet about a minute in where the combination is just beautiful, just beautiful. It wasn’t an accident that she did so well with Adam. They both came to sing and perform. They both always come to sing and perform. No one will ever get cheated out of their money with either one.

  8. interesting, yes the video is blocked, but apparently it wasn’t earlier because i did watch it earlier.

  9. Adam Lambert is my fav Idol contestant of all time and I am often surprised Adam’s vocal prowess is not discussed more on MCL blogs. To my ears vocally Adam has it all. Range, Power, Texture, Color, emotion. Angie was my favorite this season and I do find her much more current, marketable and more viable than Candice or Kree. Angie can sing anything. Titanium was so haunting, moving and I keep listening to it over and over. Amazing.

  10. Here is a youtube that is not blocked

  11. Adam is a truly generous costar. He reminds me of a great basketball player who can shoot or “dish the rock.” Like legendary athletes who raise the level of play of those around him, he knows that if he costars shine, he will too.

  12. This is a little old, but I wanted to post a video of Angie on Kelly and Michael singing her original song, “You Set Me Free.” A gorgeous song and performance!
