David Cook’s Album Cover Photo Shoot And Video

This just in courtesy of Rickey.Org. Feast your eyes on this great video of David’s photo shoot for his new album, This Loud Morning, schedule to be released on June 28th, 2011.

As thousands of “Cookie” fans already know, David has released his first single from the album, “The Last Goodbye”.

If you have been following American Idol, this season, you had the opportunity to see him perform it live on the Results Show a few weeks back. It was a great performance.

I have missed seeing and hearing David very much and am hoping this album will escalate his talented presence in the music industry. He is one of the kindest, gracious, most gifted and intelligent artists to have ever graced the American Idol stage and deserves to be recognized in a monumental way.

Enjoy the video over at Rickey’s and don’t forget to leave some David love in the comments section of this blog topic.

  1. Thanks for posting this, Rosanne. I totally agree with your comment: “He is one of the kindest, gracious, most gifted and intelligent artists to have ever graced the American Idol stage…” Plus, he’s looking mighty fine lately!

  2. David Cook love! ❤

Here is David's awesome cover of Adele's "Rolling in the Deep":

It's only a whole step lower than the original (a half step lower than Adele's live performances). Love the grit and the purity; David always combined the two well. 😀

I loved David on the show, but from what I recall, his post-Idol material sounded too generic for his talents. I hope this new album gives David a better platform to showcase his abilities. He pulled me with artistry, and when he connects with the right songs, the result is beautiful. 😉

  3. I agree with J about David’s post-Idol material; it does sound too generic for his talents, plus the songs all have a similarity about them. Even his latest single has the same feel. I don’t mean to diss his songwriting, but I almost prefer him singing the songs he sang on Idol. I have all of them and listen to those a lot more than I do his post-Idol album. I think his full vocal talent/musicality/artistry doesn’t show on his own album. I LOVE his version of “Music of the Night,” for example. But…..I will wait until I hear the new album to see if his songwriting has grown to match his talent!

  4. I LOVE HIM!! Thanks J and MCL for these wonderful, wonderful images and sounds. I will sleep well tonight.
