Well, as the song goes, it’s “So long, farewell, auf weidersehn, goodbye” for one of the Top 11 singers. It is going to be heart-breaking to come so close to achieving a spot on the Top 10, only to be eliminated at the final hour of judgement.

I am running a little late today, so I will refrain from further commenting  in this blog topic, but, I will say that either a gal or a guy will be eliminated tonight. (sorry for my feeble attempt at humour. I tried!)

Hope to comment further this evening as the show unfolds and don’t forget to add your opinions as well. You can start now or come back later!

CONFIRMED TOP TEN SINGERS: Siobhan Magnus, Lee Dewyze, Casey James,  Aaron Kelly, Didi Benami, Michael Lynche, Crystal  Bowersox,  Andrew Garcia, Katie Stevens, Tim Urban

  1. All I can say is that I am so disappointed with this years talent. I miss season 7 ……that is all…

  2. This season… it’s not only the contestants that fall short of say Season 7 ( my favorite) but the judges are so inconsistant with these kids. Been very hard to get through a Tuesday night. I used to love Tuesday now they hurt a bit!

  3. Rhapsody – I couldn’t agree with you more. It seems they are changing their minds about their favorites each week – which should not be so. Objectivity and fairness should be the focus.

  4. Hey all! Well, not surprised with the results however would have rather seen Paige on tour than Andrew. And the shocker for me was that he wasn’t even in the bottom 3. He must have a large support system. Was surprised to see Katie there. Did everyone enjoy the teeny bopper night?! (sarcasm). I got my dishes done, though. Have a good night.

  5. munkmusic, Seasons 7 and 5 gave us some talented Idols, and remain my favorites. Obviously, this season falls short, but I haven’t completely given up on it. I will enjoy Siobhan and Crystal battling it out, and allow the opportunity for Lee and Casey to show me the goods. 🙂

Indeed, Rhapsody several of the contestants are completely confused which means the Judges are not doing their job well.

Now that they are on the tour, do I call them Idols OR do they become Idols once the season has ended?

MCL, there are MANY times the judges are not objective or/and fair. I really don’t see that happening this season. :frown:

Cookie Monster, I think Andrew has support from the Latino community and was needed for the tour. Now, wait and see him replace the glasses with contacts (a.k.a. Anthony Fedorov), and lose some weight!

Seems TPTB have read the comments about the horrible way they treated Lacey and spared Paige the extra misery. Thank goodness, for that. Idol will be using Lacey and Paige for future ventures including the finale.

  7. Yes, indeed, CM, it was teeny – bopper night. Was Miley really playing the piano or was that for effect? They never showed her hands so who knows? I was very surprised to see Katie in the Bottom 3 – she certainly does not deserve to be there. Yes, I was hoping that Paige would stay but based on performance, it made sense plus I didn’t want Tim to go either. Difficult decision. Andrew has the Latino community supporting him so he won’t be going anywhere for a long time.
Have a good night. Off to bed!

  8. Paige did not sing well on Tuesday but overall I think she has done a better job than Andrew who clearly should have gone home before Alex Lambert. Now he will be on tour….he better start singing something. This is reminding me of Season 6 with Sanjaya. He just keeps coming back.

Can’t believe he wasn’t in the Bottom 3

  10. It would help a little bit, MCL. Thank you!

Both Lacey and Paige can sing, and I am sure they’ll be around and utilized by Idol. I also don’t believe Katie deserved to be in the bottom three. Hopefully, we will see some great performances coming up.
