David and Daniel Archuleta Create A Memorable Performance At Sundance Film Festival

David Archuleta combined his stellar talent with his brother, Daniel, during the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah.

According to Janey, a very devoted David Archuleta fan who attended the showcase, David was in a superb form as always. His musical talent is truly special and his voice is a gift from God – it is always in beautiful form and the clarity, the transparency of his voice “grabs” me every time.

The video below features David, accompanied by his brother Daniel on guitar, during his performance of “You Can”, one of the many songs from his new CD. And, if you haven’t yet purchased this CD, you can do so at Amazon.Com. This CD features a wonderful compilation of songs, some composed by David and all performed with exqusitive and impeccable style and substance.

Special thanks to another fan, Marc, for sending along this Youtube.Com video.

Thanks MCL for posting this event and to Marc for sending it in.
    Janey had a wonderful night.
The article Gemzone linked was a truly wonderful accounting by Richard Rushfield from the LA times.
I just love that painting of Tony Bennett pointing — one of our greatest singers of the past century is passing off the torch to who I think will be one of the great singers of this century.

I knew it wouldn’t be long before we heard David and Daniel together. I’m so glad it was “You Can,” one of my very favorite songs on David’s CD, that was chosen for their duo debut. It’s gorgeous.

The Richard Rushfield article is one of the best I have read that captures the musicality within the Archuleta circle.

Thanks, MCL, Janey, Marc, and Gemzone.

Hmmm. Loved that David played ALTNOY and that Daniel played guitar for David. That nite looked like the most amazing, comfy, hip place for David to perform. I like that kind of setting. But, I loved the big audiences he performed too also during Idol tour. His voice carries anywhere, everywhere.

jen…is your question directed to me? Tickets went on sale a day or so before and I had friends in Utah pick them up for me Saturday morning. The venue people were not very helpful and ticket information was often incorrect. It was announced that the event was sold out but as it turned out they continued to sell tickets throughout the evening for double the price I paid. There were also VIP tables available for a very hefty price.

It was completely disorganized but the Utah fans really came through for all us out-of-towners!

MCL plans are coming together to join up with lots of David’s fans on the last leg of his solo tour. I will be attending concerts in Reno, Idaho Falls and Boise in mid March.

Wish me luck! I can’t imagine what it’s going to be like trying to keep up with an 18 yr old singer-songwriter pop star. I guess I’ll find out!

Once again I’m struck by the talent of Archuleta. Only this time it’s Daniel. Give a listen to his new song.
