President-Elect Barack Obama Makes Presidential History.

Barack Obama

Barack Obama

Oh my – it doesn’t get better than this, does it?

Last night, Barack Obama entered the history books by becoming the first African-American to be elected as President of the United States Of America in the history of the American elections.

He ran a clean, confident, intelligent campaign, encouraging Americans to treasure and cultivate their traditional values while, at the same time, promising the American public that monumental changes will be made within the government that will positively impact their lives.

Despite all the challenges he has faced, he has remained a calm, positive presence during this extremely heated, intense, stressful and, at times, cruel Presidential election.

Surrounded by his lovely wife, Michelle, and his beautiful daughters Sasha and Malia, he radiated a sense of all that could be so right with this world and, now, as President of the most powerful country in the world, perhaps this will slowly become a reality for all.

It is time that everyone return to- and gain respect for- grounded, moral values and defy all that is ugly and self-destructive in our world. We need to become more centered and balanced as we go about our daily lives and learn that success comes through hard work and sacrifice.

Certainly Barack Obama has exuded all of these qualities throughout this campaign, always taking the high road and always exuding stellar leadership qualities. His prominent and prestigious role as newly-elect President of the United States Of America will undoubtedly create change and spread goodwill throughout the world.

  1. It’s been the most spectacular of nights! After watching Barak’s speech I checked my computer for one last time before turning in and what did I find? David’s album is available on FOD and Snarky Archhies! It was “leaked” by Jive so I think it’s ok if you want to listen.

It’s a night I won’t ever forget. Obama and David.

Take your time in your reviews. Savor every moment. It’s David’s first of many, many albums. I hope he’s proud and happy with his efforts. I know I am. Proud and happy. Oh, have a tissue or two ready, I don’t know anyone who has made it through without needing a few.

  2. Janey -I am so happy this morning! Barack Obama is the new leader of the most powerful nation in the world. what an exciting time ahead for all of us.

Listen to me – I am not even American! But I can celebrate like on, can’t I?

Also, I have heard some of David’s songs yesterday – just a few minutes, as I was either busy teaching and/or got caught up in the election.

His songs are just beautiful and I canNOT wait for this CD to launch on November 11th. I will be reviewing this CD and it will be a good one.

David has surrounded himself with stellar people and his talent deserves nothing but the best.

  3. I am so happy he won the election. Its time for change & I feel Obama is more than capable of making these changes. McCain learned one very important lesson & that is he shouldn’t have picked such a crappy running mate.
