American Idol is counting down to a Top 14 live show. In doing so, the Top 24 will strut their vocal stuff by performing solos and duets.

Ugh – I don’t know. Why can’t they just perform solos and whittle them down to a Top 12? Like in the old days. Which were, in truth, the best days.

This version of Idol is looking too much like The Voice 2.0. Which I rarely watch.

The show airs on Sunday April 15th and Monday April 16th at 8:00 PM on ABC.

Enjoy the show everyone. Come back and comment.

  1. I do not think ABC has made improvements to Idol, however, I do like some of the contestants so I hope the show becomes more enjoyable to watch after the final contestants are chosen. Judges aren’t doing a very good job, particularly Katy Perry.

  2. Totally agree Elaine. Especially about Katy Perry. She is not good at. all. Her personality is grating.
