Hollywood is all a-glitter and a-flutter as the countdown to the Oscars has been set in motion. With less than 6 hours until airtime, I wish I could be a fly on the wall inside the Dolby Theatre as the producers scurry around, putting on the finishing touches to what will be another night of surprises, entertainment and stargazing.
The Oscars were always a huge deal in our family and for me, as a future artist and producer, I always allowed myself to escape into the magic and splendour of it all. The Oscar shows filled my mind with ideas and dreams that, perhaps, I could recreate when producing my own concerts.
Well, those champagne dreams and caviar wishes never fully panned out but I did manage to create generic versions of some of the productions. Very generic. On the cheap. Because we were on a small town budget not a Hollwood budget.
So, on Sunday, February 28th, I will once again immerse myself in my little dream world here, surrounded by family members for a night of fun and fantasy and take in the splendour and spectacle of it all.
The Oscars begin at 8:30 PM on ABC; however, there will be extensive Red Carpet coverage on many networks, so check your local listings for specific times in your area.
For a complete list of the Presenters and Performers, you can click HERE and, for the list of Nominees, you can click HERE.
The wildly talented Chris Rock will be your host for the evening, so, suffice it to say, you are in for a lot of laughs.
Have fun everyone and join us in the comments section with your thoughts.
WHAT, did I just watch???

Yes I know. It was. It of a bit of a mess. And to think Lady Gaga’s song didn’t snag the win for Best Song. Awful

And once more Hollywood proves that only theater people know how to cope with a live show. (You’d think music people would know how, but going by the Grammy’s, nope!)
