Lady Gaga Performs a Magnificent Version Of The Star Spangled Banner At SuperBowl 50.

It doesn’t get much better than this.

Lady Gaga was in her “gagalicious” element when she performed the USA National Anthem at the Super Bowl 50.  She did a phenomenal job and it was wonderful to see her go back to her traditional performing roots. Gone was all the smoke and mirrors which has defined her past performances.  This soulful rendition of the Star Spangled Banner highlighted the inherent strength and beauty  of her God-given vocal gift.

Have a listen below.  Enjoy  Super Bowl  Sunday everyone.  Cannot wait for Bruno Mars!

  4. Jessica – I love hearing those two artists together. Visually, it can be a little disconcerting. Gaga has to relax a bit more and stop being so dramatic. Ha!

  5. Richard – yes, she did have some problems but, overall, I much prefer seeing her in her true vocal element. A vocal purist.

  6. I do understand. But it is the National Anthem and should be about honoring the song and our Country, it should not be about the artist…..

  7. I’m sorry. I’m going to have to jump in here. Yes, she added some vocal nuances toit but at least she performed it with enthusiasm & looked/sounded like she had practiced a few times before she walked out there and sang it. I loved every second of it (I just watched it – I only caught the end yesterday). MCL, I’m not even sure what problems you think she was having. It all sounded good to me. She sang it in just the right key for her. Glorious!! Well done!!

  8. The beginning was excellent but then I thought her voice sounded a little strained when she added her runs. However, I am nitpicking. Overall, she performed very well and, at least, it was LIVE.

  9. I’ll have to listen again but I didn’t think her voice seemed strained. I am so glad she was able to showcase her talent in such a great way and also so glad that she seems to have settled/become more centered. She is so talented but I think for a while there she was really on the verge of self-destruction. I am lot less worried now :). I appreciate that you highlighted her performance on your site!! Thanks!!
