I knew there was a reason I loved Stephen Colbert. I was waiting for this announcement and – voilà- it happened.

As you can see from the above embedded tweet, on Tuesday, September 15th on CBS at 11:35 PM, Apple CEO Tim Cook will appear on Stephen Colbert’s Late Show to plug all the fancy new tech gadgets that were announced on September 9th.

This is quite huge. And I am excited to see and hear just what Tim Cook has in store for us when he makes this rare guest appearance.

It looks like Stephen Colbert is already sporting a spiffy new Apple Watch, but, more important, will the new and very much improved Apple TV steal the show from the new iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch? Will Tim Cook make an announcement about Apple’s much anticipated television streaming service? Will a CBS App be available…

  1. mcl, tim cook has been on charlie rose, a show i have mentioned to you before (pbs, 11 pm, central time). i think the interview went 1 1/2 hours (no commercials). and, those interviews are available to watch on his website. anyway, for the last couple weeks charlie has been replaying some of his memorable interviews. i decided to keep tim cooks interview and rewatch it. (i always record.). obviously, charlie isn’t stephen and vice versa. 🙂 and…this is an interview that was done earlier in the year.,

  4. Oh okay. So no wonder. I knew there was something about Charlie Rose? I couldn’t figure out how we came to be talking about Tim Cook. Mandy Patinkin makes more sense. I thought I was losing my mind. Ha! Thanks Hunter

  5. this morning i started watching the tim cook on charlie interview. it was done about a year ago but i still find it interesting because he is talking about the iphone 6 which had just been released, and the apple watch which he had just introduced but which wasn’t available for purchase at the time. since i’ve been thinking about the watch, and have an iphone 6 i find it interesting to listen to in hindsight. at that point he hadn’t yet come out as homosexual. he talks about how steve asked him about becoming ceo and how it took him by shock because he was sure steve would recover. and how steve’s office is still there with steve’s name tag on the door. etc.

  7. thanks, mcl lady. charlie asks tim about apple tv and tim talks about what they’ve done but says ‘i won’t talk about what we’re doing in the future’, but even the part he talked about was interesting. i wonder if tim will be on charlie again soon. i’m glad that tim chose to be on stephen’s show, which i haven’t watched any of my recordings yet.
