Set your DVRs Streisand fans. Your favorite diva, Barbra Streisand, will make a special appearance on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.
Why now, you say?
Well, Ms. Streisand is set to release a new CD called “Partners” which will include show-stopping vocal duo performances of Barbra with an eclectic array of artists including Andrea Bocelli, Michael Bublé, Kenneth ‘Babyface’ Edmonds, Jason Gould ( Barbra’s son), Josh Groban, Billy Joel, John Legend, John Mayer, Lionel Richie, Blake Shelton, Stevie Wonder, and a virtual duet with Elvis Presley.
Here is what NBCNewYork.Com had to say:
“The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” will feature only one guest on Monday: Barbra Streisand.
It is the first late-night talk show appearance by the famed singer and actress in more than 50 years”.
The show will feature a “night of talk, comedy, and performance to celebrate the upcoming release of her new album ‘Partners,’” which is set to release on Tuesday by Columbia Records, according to NBC.”
Wow. 50 years? I had to read this part twice. Half a decade since Barbra has been on any late night show? She really is a reclusive little thing, isn’t she?
Check out the trailer below. What an amazing lineup of performers and performances and Barbra clearly underscores why she is a unique legend in this business.
My favorite performances from this trailer were Barbra with Billy Joel and Michael Buble. Absolutely brilliant.
“Partners” will be released on Tuesday, September 16th. Are you excited as I? Which performances are you most excited to hear?
