Golden Globes Set To Air Tonight On NBC

The Award Show Season has officially begun with the Golden Globes, scheduled to air tonight at 8:00 P.M. on NBC.

Well, I suppose it really began with the People’s Choice Awards on January 5th, but, for me, the Golden Globes is the official kick-off to the Award Show season.

The best in Hollywood, in both film and television, will be featured this evening and there is a ton of competition in both disciplines.

Host Ricky Gervais has been tweeting and twittering like crazy about what to expect from his humorous dialogue during tonight’s show.

I don’t particularly care, do you? I just want to see all the glamor and glitz and let the words fall where they may, as long as the comments aren’t hurtful or degrading.

So, please come back and comment away. Let us know if your favorites won or lost but, truthfully, at this stage, they are all winners. Good luck to all!

  1. MCL, what did you think of some of the “humor” of Ricky Gervais? I only saw about thirty minutes of it, but I was turned off by him. As Robert Downey Jr. said, his humor wasn’t really humor but mean-spiritedness.

  2. I did not enjoy him at all, Louise. Too irreverent and downright mean!!! It is a sad day when humor must be used at another human being’s expense.
