David Archuleta On Star Search

[YouTube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K6fKno0FVkY]

In my quest to finally see David Archuleta’s Christmas 2010 performance with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, I decided to browse YouTube.Com.

Instead I was treated to a very young David strutting his enormous vocal gift on Star Search. Man, this boy can sing. His gift was and is and will continue to be a gift from God.

And don’t even get me started with the technical wizardry he applies to his voice- even at this young age. Just brilliant!

When Rosanne graduated from O’Gorman High School, she moved on to the University of Toronto where she continued her piano and vocal studies while attaining a Bachelor of Arts Degree. She was hired as a piano accompanist for several musical companies, most notably, the National Ballet Of Canada. She presently holds an A.R.C.T. In November 1997, Rosanne Simunovic was selected by the Rotary Club Of Timmins to receive the prestigious Paul Harris Award for her years of dedication to the artistic development of young musical talent in Timmins. 2. You said it MCL. David’s been a gift to all of us sharing his God given gift. Even at the ripe old age of 12 he does this better than all the screamers and screachers out there. You don’t want to miss getting the cd/dvd of David’s appearance with the MOTAB when it’s released next fall, the hard part is waiting for it.

  5. Yes, Masterclass Lady, do start, Please. I know this performance is magnificent. However I lack the background to explain, or understand it. I would love some of your technical expertise in the matter.

  7. Here is Angels, from the Realms of Glory. Its so beautifully performed. This is the actual performance on that Sunday not the one they showed on the broadcast. Wish they had showed the actual because David’s voice didn’t crack on the last note in this one.

  12. How nice to hear from you again! I don’t see the following “Joy to the World” with the Motab in other postings. I also included Silent Night as performed with the Celtic Woman. It knocked my socks off.

    Enjoy!

  14. You might also want to see David’s Star Search “I Surrender” – a great run in this and he really powers into the key change. Unfortunately no video exists of the first few seconds but it’s my other Star Search favorite.

    Some more recent covers by David that you may not have seen

    God Bless the Broken Road – acapella

    Bubbly by Colbie Caillat

    And a great performance of his own Elevator

  17. it’s too bad the best vids out there from MoTab are from the Sunday performance. he did great, esp considering it was morning and david is not a morning singer plus being the last of 4 days, but i thought the other nights were better. i went to the fri night’s performance and david’s voice was soooooooooooo gooooooood.

  18. MCL, thanks for your review about David. I love David last album, each of the songs in the album is much better than most of songs on the radio. I don’t understand why people are so crazy about some songs that don’t even have more than 5 notes, the singers have “meh” voices, not to mention the stupid lyrics of those songs which people call them hit. I don’t get it. I wish people will realize how amazing David last album is and most importantly the label will really promote his album. Jive didn’t really do good job in promoting his albums. His fans are the ones who really support and doing good jobs.
