MCL, I haven’t posted in a while, but I thought you might want to masterclass the SNL performances. MJ has the vids.

“Light On”, which is his current single, was the first performance. I thought he sang it extremely well, with the exception of the soft part. That quick change from the very loud bridge to singing accompanied by piano-only has to be extremely difficult to pull off live, though.

He really came alive though on “Declaration”, the second song. That probably has something to do with the fact that he wrote it himself, whereas “Light On” was written by Chris Cornell (whose version of “Billie Jean” David made famous).

Interesting fact: DC was in a band in Tulsa with the two guitar players to his left and right (the drummer and bassist are new to him). The guy on the left was actually the lead singer– Cook sang backup to him! Luckily, they are good friends!

    Hey there againstthedyingofthelight:

Nice to see you again. I still want to write that article about “Time Of My Life”. The inspiring link that you sent me deserves to be addressed.

I am so busy that this blog has taken a bit of a backseat lately. I hope to do more writing in the near future, so hang in there.

I was looking for the SNL videos after SNL aired, so glad to hear that they are online now. I thought David sang extremely well. Excellent really.

Will definitely post them to this blog and review them ASAP.

I am a little distracted with the election and I’m not even American. haha

I didn’t exactly enjoy his performance on SNL. I’ve heard him sing better.

Hi MCL, I haven’t posted in a while, but I just had to say thank you for posting this SNL short with David Cook. I laughed till I cried. I loved David Cook’s performance on SNl (watched via youtube). He’s fantastic! I’ve become a fan and have Light On on my iPod.

Meanwhile, David Archuleta’s appearance on Leno was fabulous. I thought the band was terrific a little loud, but WOW, David blew me away as usual, and he continues to make me cry. Somethin’ about that kid….
