I’m a little late adding this, but here we go! Will comment later and hope you do as well. Looking forward to hearing Gavin Rossdale’s mentoring techniques in this acoustic show.

Nothing changed again this week on CI. I’m fuming and question why I even watch this show.

Theo Tams was outstanding once again. Amazing. Stood out by 2 million miles. Perfect song choice. He’s definitely my #1.

Amberly was great too, but seemed a bit nervous.

    Enter my fuming…..

Drew once again was underrated and quite shockingly shamed by 3 of the judges. They clearly see him as a threat and want him out ASAP. I thought about it and am pretty sure Amberly and Theo don’t need my votes tonight, so I’m only voting for Drew. I’ve been watching Idol long enough to know when someone is being sabotaged. It’s the ugly side of Idol.

Funny how they mentioned what Drew was wearing tonight…I agree that he looked awful, but don’t they have someone dress these kids to make sure that they look their best? Of course they do….it’s another tool they use to make certain contestants look bad. Can’t believe I’m typing this, but it’s true. Everything right from Gavin’s clip to what Drew was wearing screamed of sabotage. It eerily reminded me of the Jason Castro edit on AI.

Idolina – I agree. I thought Drew was great and that some of the others are making it through because of their quirkiness and not their singing.

Theo and Amberly were oustanding, but if Theo doesn’t relax his jaw soon, I am going to lose it. And, I know for a fact that he can do so. I think he fears that he will sound too classical, but that is not true.

But, right now, it is obvious to my eyes and ears that the Top 2 should be Theo and Amberly.

Yeah MCL. Theo and Amberly are my top 2, with Drew rounding out my top 3. Drew looked visibly upset and I think that’s what really got me going. I swear I’ve never voted this much. LOL.

Yay, Theo Tams and Amberly Thiessen for Top 2! I think I might agree with Idolina: “Amberly was great too, but seemed a bit nervous.”

Yeah, to me she didn’t seem as relaxed or… I dunno, “grandiose?” (fluid?) vocally as she usually is.

I thought Amberly was wonderful last night. I still am hoping to do a Vocal Masterclass review, but I am a busy with American Idol deadlines here. Thanks for your patience everyone. Keep adding your comments.

In my opinion, Theo and Amberly are the only two singers on the show that I can appreciate. Theo’s performance last night was amazing to me.I could feel his emotion throughout the song, and isn’t that what singing is all about!? I think he is the most passionate singer, where Amber has a style of her own, and to me is simply pleasant to listen to.

I’m very happy that Theo, Amberly and Drew live to see another week, and that all 3 escaped the bottom 3. For me, Canadian Idol starts and ends with these 3 singers.

Idolina, I read your comments and went back to see Drew’s performance again, I must say I am remiss in not praising him as well. I do remember him catching my eye in the beginning, but somehow Theo just stands out for me. That said, I have watched some of Drew performing in Collingwood as well, and he really is quite good!! Unfortunately there is only one winner of Canadian Idol, as on the American version.Dang it, I really wanted David Archuleta to win!!!! We will see in time who Canada picks!!
