Update: Forte Tenors Fans raised $3,135 in Forte’s name (goal was $3,000) for Kate Winslet’s Golden Hat Foundation for Autism. Sean, Josh & Fernando were extremely appreciative about this. They kept saying, “Best Fans Ever!” (and we kept saying, “Best Tenors Ever!”).

On Saturday, November 16th, Forte made its Carnegie Hall debut as part of The Golden Hat’s Foundation’s Music Of Hope.

According to The Golden Hat’s Facebook page, their mandate is this:

“We are dedicated to changing the way people with autism are perceived by shining a light on their abilities and emphasizing their great potential”

.
The concert was a tremendous success but Forte riveted the audience with phenomenal performances which earned them ovation after ovation.

Backed by a 90-piece orchestra and a 260 voice choir, they were featured in the last third of the concert where they performed Caruso, The Prayer with guest appearance by Cami Bradley, My Heart Will Go On, and Somewhere. Then they closed the concert with Pie Jesu and Nessun Dorma.

All of the songs performed by Forte in Carnegie Hall are included on their newly released CD, Forte. It was officially released on Tuesday, November 12th and has been featured on Amazon’s Top Sellers list ever since.

For those of us who could not make their Carnegie Hall debut, there is this neat little website out there called YouTube.

Have a listen to their incredible, mind-blowing performance of the operatic classic, Nessun Dorma. I guarantee that you will press play over and over and over again.

And do not hesitate to purchase the Forte CD on Amazon or download it via iTunes

I will be reviewing the CD in the coming days so come back and check it out.

Have you purchased the CD yet? Better yet, were you at the Carnegie Hall Perormance? Please share your stories in the comments section.

  2. Jean Williams above was at the performance Saturday night. She had the winning bid for a Tier 1, 8- seatbox from Actress, Kate Winslet, and filled it with family and Forte Tenors Fan club members! She also got backstage passes and met Forte’s Sean Panikkar, Fernando Varela & Josh Page after their brilliant performance. Maybe we can get her to tell us a little more…? : )

  4. Thanks everyone.

Awesome – unfortunately no. It was a bit of a distance to travel this time of year plus I had to attend a Memorial Service for a family member this past weekend.

It would be great if Jean could share her experiences with us! :):). Next best thing to being there.

  5. I wasn’t as lucky as Jean to be at Carnegie Hall Saturday night, but, I have been, as Rosanne says here, been playing these new Forte videos – over & over & over again. The one that sticks out as beyond brilliant – “Nessun Dorma”. Rosanne, that performance is breathtaking! Close your eyes and you’d swear it was Pavarotti, Carreras & Domingo. Open your eyes and it’s even better – it’s Forte. I have run out of adjectives to describe how the guys both sound and look! I think it’s safe to say right now they are the finest in the land. (And they are SUCH nice guys too)! Buy their CD!!! I have my 2 copies – ordered in September the day it could be pre-ordered on Amazon.com! And, the good news is Barnes & Noble is also selling this gorgeous CD. The “bad” news is – they are SOLD OUT. Forte has been #1 or B&N and Amazon! It was a GREAT week, Rosanne!
PS – Get your tickets now for Forte’s headlining performances at the new Tropicana in Las Vegas, 12/28-12/30!
