Wow! I almost forgot about The X Factor Finale. Someone should tell Simon that ’tis the season to be baking, wrapping gifts, attending choir rehearsals and/or concerts etc. Not watching television reality shows.

Oh well, what do we have here? Of yes, Chris, Melanie and Josh. Good luck to all three of them.

The show runs on Fox on Wednesday from 8:00-9:30 P.M.

Don’t forget to hit the comments section while you watch the show or after the telecast! Always looking forward to your comments!

  1. I watched X-factor last night and honestly can’t begin to predict who will win. I thought Melanie’s last song was stunning, but I have the sense that Chris Rene has tons of fans. I think anyone of them could win it tonight. I love Josh too, but I don’t have a sense of whether he has a big enough fan base to win.

  2. Louise-I want Chris or Josh to win. Melanie is wonderful but she basically is trying to be another Beyonce or Mariah. And her accent changes on a whim, her emotions are all over the place etc. She is not a very engaging package.

  6. Erin,
That seems to be the intended result. I’ve had Josh in second place all season, so I guess he may well end up there.

They must have told Melanie not to say anything after her last song. I thought it was very odd the way she flipped the microphone up and stood looking at the floor.

The best talent I’ve seen emerge from this competition is the girl in the Chevy commercials. Have you noticed her?

  7. Hello everyone. Just stopping in to say that I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday season. I think the X-Factor has not lived up to its promise. I’m looking forward to The Voice.

  8. Congradulations to Melanie.

Somehow it seems fitting for this show to end up with countless lap dancers and rappers so vile that the majority of their lyrics were bleeped out. Maybe that’s what is meant by the “X” Factor.

Merry Christmas to Rosanne and the whole Masterclass Lady family. I hope you all have safe and happy holidays with your friends and families.

  9. Gene, you are so right about that. There are younger contestants on the show that are hearing the complete “performance” of those vulgar songs. Yes, the right person did win, and I hope Melanie will make some good music, including uptempo music. But was it really necessary to have those horrible rappers on the show?

Can Simon’s ego get any bigger than it is already? I have never liked him; never will.

Merry Christmas or Happy Holidays if it applies to all who post here. MCL, enjoy this special time with your Grandbabes! Praying for a healthy New Year for my Sweetie and myself.

  12. I’m very happy for Melanie! I still wish she would have sung more than just ballads, though. She certainly has the best voice of the final three. But I feel Josh and Chris both showed more of the X-Factor than Melanie did. I wouldn’t have minded at all seeing one of the two guys win, and I’m still shocked that Simon didn’t encourage Melanie to show more variety. From Simon’s reaction to Melanie winning, it makes me wonder if he wanted to see one of the guys win instead. From his years on A.I., Simon has a way of trying to manipulate voters by saying who he feels should win at the end of the show, when he actually want the other one to win. A great example of that was the David vs. David finale. It was no secret that he want Cook to win, and I certainly was fine with that, but did Simon really need to crush Archie?

  13. This morning I saw part of an interview with Melanie Amaro on Live with Kelly. I actually thought that Melanie did a really nice job with the interview and I liked her very much. She was very poised and very much unlike the Melanie who got very emotional and spoke in her Caribbean accent one night on X-factor. I look forward to following her career. A couple of days ago, I read that she was signed by L.A. Reid’s label.
