Hi Rosanne – At MyPlay there seem to be two different player pages – the one just for Crush and one with a playlist of other songs after Crush. So maybe there are 2 widgets. the embedded one at Rickey’s does not cycle into other tunes. You could try getting the code from that one (the share button brings up a code box to click on).

Hi MCL and everyone:
I hope I’m posting this in the right place, this is a great video of David performing Crush today at Ford Day. Can you believe it, Janey was right there seeing and hearing this live!

Wow, Marc, thanks for adding this link to the Ford “Crush” debut. It is even more amazing to watch him perform this live, because the song is actually really difficult to sing. Also, the music started before he barely finished speaking and he just hopped on the train and started to sing – didn’t miss a beat.
The tempo was really, really fast and his vocals were spectacular given the fact that he barely had time time to breathe in between his phrases. And, he added some new melodic twists – which will only increase as he continues to perform this song live and in color.
Plus, there were some really wicked intervals in this song, all seamlessly connected from the diaphragm. The intervals from full voice to head voice were remarkable, just remarkable!

Oh my – I just watched “Imagine” and – hands down – this is his best and most inspired performance of this song and the best version I have EVER heard. David communicates the lyrics in such a genuine and powerful manner – truly like no other.
Also, I loved that he didn’t add the full voice to head voice “Oo” util he reached the last refrain of this song. And, he did so in a seamless, cohesive manner – almost like an afterthought.
Finally, the soulful bending of the melodic line was just brilliant and so sensitive, so expressive. Who could not be moved by this performance? It was a musical masterpiece.

Isn’t it great to watch “Angels” in a more intimate and quieter atmosphere? Almost surreal really. His voice sounds so clear and pure – a special bell should be manufactured as a tribute to the bell-like quality of his voice.
Woops – he hit a wrong chord and then made it all better! haha. I do this all the time, especially early in the morning at Church services. But the key is to move away quickly to the next chord, never to panic. And, David is truly an expert at this. He is a supremely talented musician and a confident one as well, so this makes all the difference.
Beautifully performed, David and thank YOU RealMix for sending this and Bubblesark for uploading these videos to YouTube. I will add these to the MCL Sticky PAge later on in the day.

MCL and readers,
Is it possible to live forever somewhere “between the heavens and earth”? That’s exactly where I ended up after yesterday’s performances. After a 2 hour bus ride to SFO and a 5 hour, 2,000 mile flight to Detroit I found myself approximately 20 feet from David separated only by 2 rows of fans, a small aisle and a keyboard.
Angels. “I sit and wait” caused my heart to race and my breathing to become irregular. By the time he got to my favorite “streeeettt” with the sweetest twists ever I was a goner. btw, the wrong cord was barely audible, perhaps the magnitude of the occasion overwhelming the senses rendering one incapable of making any sense at all? He sailed over the once troublesome final “it” and I was left honored and blessed to have heard “Angels” so up close and oh so personal.
Crush. To my ears this appeared to be slowed down a bit. It was a incredible performance with David putting more emotion into every syllable leaving nothing behind. I wouldn’t have believed this song could have gone so deep if I hadn’t heard it myself.
Imagine. David’s favorite song. All 3 verses. Does it get better than this? MCL, this was a performance of a lifetime. It’s moments like this that you want time to stand. I’m still in an Archudaze, and I’m perfectly content to stay here until I see David again. That may be awhile so you’ll know where to find me “somewhere between the heavens and earth in an Archudaze!”
I got to meet David after the performance. He is a spectacular human being with angelic qualities. He is everything you’ve ever read about him and then some. The serendipitous events that had to come together to make this dream come true for me defy explanation. Somehow the words imagine, angels, and believe come to mind. Don’t pinch me. I don’t want to wake up.

Janey – I have been waiting to hear from you and finally you are back to tell all. I am so happy that you were able to see and hear and meet David in a more intimate atmosphere.
And, however it happened is yours to hold and cherish forever. The bottom line is this: you are a dedicated and a loving David Archuleta fan and more important one of the very special ones . So, this opportunity was a well-deserved one indeed and I am so happy that you were able to share it with us.
I thought all three performances were nothing short of magnificent. He looked happy, rested, energized and that voice – well it’s truly, truly special. A gift from God.
If you wish, you can re-post this news report in this thread: https://masterclasslady.com/2008/09/18/myplay-share/#comment-7769 as well or I can do it for you. This way it will be added to a more recent blog entry.
Thank you so much for telling us all about this and, if you have pictures or videos, I will add them in tomorrow if you wish.

Hello Janey — glad to hear of your great adventure. I just loved hearing the crowds reaction when he just hinted and then announced he was singing Imagine.
So glad he changed his mind about not singing it again — we would have missed this!
