Happy Mother’s Day Everyone!

Thought I would add a Mother’s Day thread. I think we all need a little break from American Idol, at least for a few hours anyway!
Hope all of the Moms out there are being treated like royalty. I am proud to be a Mom and a Grandmother. The picture I have inserted with this thread is one that was taken at my 60th - yes, 60th - birthday in November 2007. My beautiful grandaughter, Kyra Christine, was a huge addition to the celebrations.
She is truly the light of my life - well, along with my daughters and my husband. But she is a special light if you will - has that extra twinkle. And I cannot forget my daughter and hubby’s dog, Chase. She and Kyra are inseparable.
Please feel free to send along your pictures and Mother’s Day events. I will add another Top 3 American Idol thread this evening, but, for now, it’s all about the Moms out there!

And a Happy Mother’s Day to you too, MCL! What a beautiful picture of you and your granddaughter! (and the puppy!) She looks like she is full of laughter and joy! I hope you are enjoying this day that was made especially for people like you and that you are being treated like royalty as well!!
What an adorable Grandchild, MCL! How wonderful - doggy too! I said it was so nice being with my 3 children today, but it is my Grandbabes that light up my life. Six years ago, I was teaching Sociology at our local university. I made the decision to help my daughters and have taken care of the little ones while Mommy works. I watch my new granddaughter (13 weeks) and grandson (20 months); at 11:00 AM I get my 5 year-old granddaughter; then at 3:00 PM, I have my 7 year-old grandson. Whew!
I am still teaching, loving, and enjoying these beautiful little beings. Now, all I need is a good vitamin pill and 8 hours of sleep a night!
HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!
Happy Mother’s Day to you! Just got back from a Mother’s Day barbecue at my sister’s house–she’s got 4 children, so we had a three generation gathering as well, so fun!
Kariann - you sound sooo busy. Wow, you must have stamina. Such love and dedication as well. Lucky daughters to have a Mom like you and those grandchildren must thrive under your continued love and attention.
I had a quiet Mother’s Day, as things will get very hectic around here in June. Lots of family coming, including my granddaughter. I love taking care of her and she makes me laugh 24/7.
Thanks bizzee. Hope you had a beautiful weekend as well. Rereader - sounds like you had a blast! See - we can have fun without AI! Haha
I, too, had a great Mother’s Day! My honey and I learned how to make photos go on an electronic frame for my Mom’s gift (she’s 75), and my son (who is 19) came home from a 7 day bus trip from Univ. of Indianapolis (here in Indy - duh!) on a choir trip to New Mexico! They got back at 7pm and my Mom, honey, son, his girlfriend (a doll in human form!) and I went to Bravo Italian Restaurant for a 9pm dinner. It’s loud in there, but we arrived late enough that it was emptying out. Dylan was happy to see his girl, I enjoyed being with my husband and son, and my Mom was pleased to be with everyone! And the 4 cats were happy to get a few nibbles of leftovers! LOL!
Anita
MCL, I have a little photo of Dylan and his sweetie, but I don’t see how to post it. Can you help?
I LOVE someone that can laugh at themselves! HEE!!

wadahoot…that video is absolutely hilarious! I couldn’t stop laughing. Brooke definitely has a strong backbone to be able to pull that off! Good for her!
Thank you, MCL. It was nice to read the other posts!
