MasterClass Monday: Adam Lambert Performs An Abbreviated Version Of Nessun Dorma

So, hello everyone. After a bit of a hiatus, MasterClass Lady is back in action.

And, what better way to start the New Year, albeit belatedly, than by treating you to Adam Lambert’s abbreviated version of the opera classic, Nessun Dorma.

In a word or two or three – it. is. magnificent.

This talented singer can sing the entire 411 directory. Because who uses a telephone book anymore, right?

But, I digress. This video, featured below, was suggested to me by an MCL reader, Sarah, and was performed at a private event in Florence Italy. Thank you Sarah!

Adam’s technique is spot on and, like a musical chameleon, can change performing styles with ease and professionalism. This is why I have always stressed the importance of technique – no matter which genre of music a singer wishes to pursue. It unveils more performing options for you while ensuring that you have protected your voice via the correct technique.

Enjoy the video everyone. Congratulations Adam.

  1. No question about it, the man can sing!

I find it very interesting that when he sang opera (known for vocal acrobatics), he sang it very simply–the opposite of what he does with rock and pop. Lovely!

  3. Glad to see you back… Adam is a true vocalist. He blew me away while on American Idol and he continues today. He honored Cher at the Kennedy.Center honors with his rendition of Cher’s biggest hit Believe, and brought not only Cher to tears but myself. He is vocal perfection..
