This week, the Top 11 singers will perform for your votes. Each artist will attempt to reach the top 10 on iTunes in order to receive a vote multiplier. The two contestants with the fewest votes will get a second chance to perform again for the Instant Save, with the loser leaving the competition.

The Voice Season 12 Top 11
Are any of your favourites left in the competition?  That’s a talented bunch of singers pictured above. Will one of them be the surprise breakout star from this reality based singing competition?  We have seen some singing brilliance on this show and some  authentic artists. But, man, no Kelly Clarkson or Carrie Underwood star power – both singers who emerged courtesy of American Idol.

The Voice airs Monday May 1st and Tuesday May 2nd on NBC at 8:00 PM.  Please share your thoughts in the comments section.  I promise I will interact.

  1. I think that the two country girls are going to be in the finals with probably Hunter and Chris Blue.

  2. From what news I’ve read, the country performers seem to be having the most help post-show.

  3. I think you have it about right Idol Girl.

Lauren Duski is my personal favorite. She has decent support on iTunes as well. I love her voice and her style, and she seems to be a decent person. Her market timing is very good because the singers whose niche she shares peaked many years ago, yet remain popular. People like Tricha Yearwood, Patty Loveless, Martina McBride, and Lee Ann Womack, for example, will leave a hole in the market that she could help to fill. I think she may win this season and has the potential to have a good career in country music as well as crossover pop.

Brennley has a ton of heart, has a nice voice, and has made excellent song choices, but she needs a bit of polishing to be ready for prime time.

Hunter isn’t my cup of tea but he is good at what he does.

Chris Blue seems like a fine young man with an appreciation of the classics in his genre. He is a compeling performer but I can’t agree with Alicia when she compares his to Sam Cook etc. He dosn’t sing on that level to my ears. More polish.

There are several others who have performed well and / or been very entertaining including Vanessa, Aliyah and TSoul. I was suprised to see Casi eliminated.

  5. I cannot stand the Twitter Save, Hunter. Not everyone watches this show in real time. Ugh

  6. Hi everyone. I have not been watching until Monday night & then only caught last 3. Will try to catch more as time goes along. Did anyone else think Chris Blue’s contortions were a bit much & detracted from his delivery of a classic song? Thanks, MCL, for all you do to keep me current!!

  7. Jzgrl1 – I rarely watch. I have moved on to other topics. However, I know The Voice still has a huge following so I add a topic every week – when I think of it Ha!

  8. I agree that the two country girls will probably be the last two standing, but my personal favorites are Jesse whose voice I love, and Chris Blue.

  10. Rocker Chick – You bring up a good point. I think the type of music they do on their albums is a factor. Many of them are niche artists more suited to indie labels rather than mainstream artists.
