MasterClass Monday Eve/Super Bowl 2017: Lady Gaga Shows Why She Is An Unstoppable Force

Lady Gaga Performs At The Super Bowl
Did you see Lady Gaga perform at the HalfTime Show during Super Bowl LI?   If not, the video is below – but be prepared for your jaw to drop and your eyes to widen in amazement.

This performance was the best Super Bowl Halftime show I have seen in a while and, if memory serves me, I was pretty helpped up over the Beyoncé/Bruno Mars performance last year.

But this Gaga performance?  Over the top in terms excellence and vision. Of course we all know that  her voice is a gift from God and, thankfully, it was in full display for all to hear during this event.

She did have to lip sing during some segments. I mean, c’mon, you can’t sing live while doing aerial flips and managing frenetic choreography.

But, when she finally took to the piano, she was singing live people. LIVE. And playing live. You could hear her diaphragmatic breathing and I was loving it. Finally – someone who is not afraid to sing live and in color.

She seamlessly took us on a journey through her hits – past, present and future – and showed the world what real talent looks like. And sounds like. And rehearses like. She is the consummate professional who, through hard work, preparation, determination and vision,  reminded us that one can achieve a goal even beyond one’s wildest dreams.

I walked away from this performance with immense admiration and respect for the work ethic this woman embodied in this #superbowl51 event and every musical event she has tackled in the past.

The future wlll continue to treat Lady Gaga well. She has too much respect for the art of music and, because of this, she will garner the respect and loyalty of legions of fans for years to come.

Bravo Lady Gaga.  And congratulations from all of us here in the MCL Community.

And don’t forget to have  a listen to her new pop-rock album, Joanne, on Apple Music or Amazon.

You can watch an complete HD video on YouTube as the video below is not the best. I will update it with a better video as soon as one is available.

  1. I only saw it on YouTube this morning, and I say “Brava!”

I also loved the quiet but firm political statement she made by pairing lines from “God Bless America” with lines from “This Land is Your Land” (Guthrie’s very specific answer to “God Bless America”),–and highlighting her own “Born This Way.”

  5. Yes. She totally aimed her political views in a subtle yet firm manner. What an amazing tour de force. This performance set the bar very high for those who shall follow in her Super Bowl footsteps.

  6. When she first appeared on the music scene, I didn’t care for her either. But she has grown on me because she is so super talented.

  7. Me too, Idol Girl. I’m not into edgy artists either. For example, I prefer Celine Dion as a performer over Madonna.
