Vocal Masterclass Discussion For Season 11 Of The Voice: The Live Playoffs

The Voice Season 11

This week,  the Top 20 singers compete for America’s vote and a chance to win a spot among the 12 finalists advancing to next week’s show. Because of the Presidential election,  there is no Results show tomorrow; therefore the winners, chosen by the audience, will be announced toward the end of Monday’s show.

The Top 20 singers performing tonight are:

Team Adam: Riley Elmore, Billy Gilman, Brendan Fletcher, Simone Gundy, Josh Gallagher

Team Alicia: Wé McDonald, Christian Cuevas, Kylie Rothfield, Sa’Rayah, Josh Halverson

Team Blake: Sundance Head, Dana Harper, Austin Allsup, Courtney Harrell, Jason Warrior

Team Miley: Darby Walker, Ali Caldwell, Sophia Urista, Aaron Gibson, Belle Jewel.

Personally, there is too much entertainment election -style on TV tonight, so I probably will miss The Voice this week. Why couldn’t they put it on hold for a week? Seriously.  Tons of major TV series were pre-emptied over the course of this crazy election, not to mention the World Series playoffs. Yay Cubs.

Enjoy the show and keep me posted in the comments section.

  1. i am soooo disappointed that josh halverson (the indian looking guy) got ‘booted’. his ‘whiskey and you’ is charting on itunes. and i’m glad aaron (miley’s only guy) got voted through by ‘the people’ tho his song isn’t charting.

  2. blake said ‘this is just too fast’ and i agree with him.

and i really missed the ‘background’ of when they’re practicing their song. i like that ‘getting to know them’ aspect. and i like to know if the singer has chosen the song, or if the coach has.

it sure goes to point as to ‘song choice’. i just didn’t care for josh halverson’s (the indian looking guy) song choice this time.

it is interesting that brendon fletcher is charting again, quite high up, and yet he wasn’t ‘chosen by the people’. as last time, i don’t connect to him as a person, but i do like his voice and his choices.

the crooner is charting too, and he didn’t get through.

  3. I haven’t been a fan of the indian looking guy, so I wasn’t disappointed that he got booted.

Not a fan of Darby either.

Vocally, of the R&B gals in the top 12, I prefer Ali and Courtney and Sa’Rayah over We.

  4. Hi All,

Sad to see Dana cut from Blake’s team, she was by far my favorite. I liked Ethan Tucker too and now they are both gone, boo!

I’m undecided if I will continue to watch as I think Billy has this one wrapped and under the tree!

I did not like the play off’s, I agree with Blake it was too fast.
