Well, your Monday night just became more exciting!

On Monday, February 16th, Stevie Wonder will headline a star-studded cast who have come together to celebrate the 25 -time Grammy winner’s outstanding musical career.

Here is what to expect, courtesy of Grammy.Com:

“The Recording Academy, AEG Ehrlich Ventures and CBS will present “Stevie Wonder: Songs In The Key Of Life — An All-Star GRAMMY Salute,” a primetime entertainment special that will celebrate the iconic songbook and remarkable legacy of the 25-time GRAMMY winner. The two-hour show will tape at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live on Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2015, two days after the 57th Annual GRAMMY Awards, and will be broadcast in HDTV and 5.1 surround sound on CBS on Monday, Feb. 16, 2015, from 9–11 p.m. ET/PT. Performers and presenters will be announced shortly.

“Stevie Wonder: Songs In The Key Of Life — An All-Star GRAMMY Salute” will feature some of today’s top artists covering songs by the legendary GRAMMY winner, as well as other archival material. In addition, various presenters will help highlight the historical impact of Wonder’s songs on music and our culture.

In the 56-year history of the GRAMMY Awards, Wonder is the only artist to have received Album Of The Year honors in three out of four consecutive years with Innervisions, Fulfillingness’ First Finale, and the seminal Songs In The Key Of Life. With a catalog that is one of the richest treasure troves in American music, his songs are still revered and influential today and his longevity as one of America’s — and the world’s — most respected and beloved artists is well earned”.

As you can plainly see from the headline picture, we are in for a very entertaining show which will center around the legendary Stevie Wonder.

I don’t know about you but I am thrilled that the TV industry is acknowledging the importance of adding a strong musical component to their TV Lineup. It is great to be able to enjoy really good music – non-controversial one would hope – with family members.

Let’s bring back those old fashioned values and embrace the golden age of music, an age that is too easily forgotten or dismissed by today’s generation.

Bravo CBS! This is very good investment in the future of the next generation of superstars. Watch and learn everyone.

Will you be tuning in?

  2. What a totally entertaining show! I literally grew up with Motown music and saw Stevie perform at a dance when he was 12-13 years old. Who knew? What a musical genius he is. I am happy they are acknowledging an artist’s talent while he is still living. Congratulations, Stevie! I remember his work and dedication to Civil Rights and Human Rights programs. A good man. Music needs people like this today. I cannot think of anyone except Bono (U2). Current artists?

  3. I clearly remember the first time I saw Stevie perform. It was on American Bandstand when it was broadcast from Philly. He was perhaps 11 years old and sang Fingertips. He was phenomenal!!!

  4. Great show for a great man!! He is legendary. However, there are currently many artists desperately paving the way for really great music – like Michael Buble and Bruno Mars.

However, many are performing “under the radar” and it is our mission to support these musicians and bring them to the forefront.

I cannot begin to tell you how hard Michael worked before being discovered by David Foster. It was a long road and his fans ultimately catapulted him to fame.
