  1. I don’t know enough about music to volunteer to recap, but I can tell you that the singers who made the biggest impression on me were Matt McAndrew, Craig Wayne Boyd, Damien, Taylor Phelan, and Mia Pfirman.

  4. It was a great show tonight! I absolutely loved Sugar Joans. And I thought DaNica Shirey’s voice was incredibly beautiful. There were others I loved tonight as well, but those two were my very favorites.

  5. Most of my favorites are split between Team Gwen and Team Pharrell.

  6. Idol Girl – me too! They are very strong.

Louise – I had a difficult time picking a favorite. I felt badly for Ricky because his song was so difficult. The approach to the falsetto needed a more open approach. His jaw was so tight. I love him though. He has a great style and lovely tone in his voice.

  7. I was pleased that most of my favorites made it through tonight, but disappointed that a couple of them are no longer there. I thought Adam would pick Taylor over Chris. And I was very surprised that Luke from Blake’s team did not get picked by the voting public.

  8. I thought that Luke did get picked by the voting public? I like him, and Matt, and DaNica, and Taylor John Williams. I was sorry to see Adam’s Taylor go. The show has a lot of talent this year so I don’t have just one favourite. This is my favourite team of coaches so far as well, and I enjoyed seeing Taylor Swift as a mentor.

  9. There is so much talent this year that I wasn’t surprised to see anyone leave or stay. It’s like apples and oranges – and we have the best singing fruit on this season’s show. Ha!! They are all that good.

Here is a great recap of the show and the Top 12 picks plus those eliminated http://www.people.com/article/the-voice-recap-top-12-live-elimination-show-nov-12

  10. I just checked out DaNica Shirey’s Facebook page. Although she has gained weight now, she was quite cute when she was a bit younger. There are photos of her from a performance with David Foster. Yes, THE David Foster!!! She also has photos with Peter Cetera and Rueben Stoddard from the same event.

  11. I should not have made the comment about DaNica gaining weight. I only meant to say that by gaining weight, it has made her appear a little older than she actually is in my opinion. I’ve seen a few negative comments from people on various sites about her appearance. But obviously lots of people don’t care about that or she would not have been one of the top two on Pfarrell’s team. I love her voice and hope that she does well.

  12. Not to worry Louise. I didn’t take it as a negative. I love her voice and I am not surprised that she has been in David Foster’s company. I think DF feeds all of these shows – he collects and cultivates incredible talent.

  13. I think DaNica is still very attractive and I hate the negativity towards her on the forums. I actually picked her to win when I saw the blind auditions. Sure she looks mature for her age but the whole point of the show is the VOICE not the appearance. She’s not a favourite and that makes me wish her well all the more. I was SO glad to see that Pharrell picked a Joni Mitchell song for her.

  14. I also loved the Joni Mitchell song that DaNica sang. I actually loved a number of older songs that some of the contestants sang on Tuesday night. But I saw some comments from “younger” people who thought the songs were really boring! Funny!!!
