Last week was the first time I was able to watch The Voice in its entirety this season.
And it felt oddly strange. There was a disconnect, obviously, because I came a little bit late to the party.
However, I am still drawn to Team Christina and her competitors, Jacquie Lee and Matthew Schuler.
Team Adam is still going strong with three competitors remaining on his Team –James, Tessanne and Will.
Team Blake has one lone survivor in Cole Vosbury, so Adam Levine must be chuckling over besting three-time winner, Blake Shelton, thus far.
However, as the saying goes, the show isn’t over until “the fat lady sings” or, in this case, the Top 6 and Top 4 sing.
Performing on Monday, December 2nd:
Team Adam
James Wolpert
Tessanne Chin
Will Champlin
Team Cee Lo
All singers were eliminated. Too bad.
Team Christina
Jacquie Lee
Matthew Schuler
Team Blake
Cole Vosbury
It all begins on NBC from 8:00 – 10:00 PM Eastern with the Results Show on Tuesday, November 26th from 9:00 – 10:00 PM
Best of luck to all the singers. Comment away!
I hope you got to see the top six show tonight. It was good with a wide variety of songs covered.
Jacquie Lee killed it on both of her songs and also worked the stage very well. I liked the way she went toe to toe with the backup singers near the end of her second song. It would have been nice if Christina had talked less about herself and more about Jacquie’s performance, but…
Everyone had a good night tonight but each of them had one song that I liked more than the other. I wish they would go to single eliminations at this point and do a away with the Twitter save.

Gene – I didn’t tune in. I had too much to do. Sounds like I missed a great show. Will check the performances online ASAP. I am glad Jacquie killed it. She is the best of the best I feel but I do love Matthew as well.

I think Jacquie shreaks too much and she’s had too many pitchy performances, sorry. And I have not liked Matthew since Hallelujah which I loved.
My favourites are Will and Tessanne with Cole being in third place.

I had mixed feelings about all of the contestants last night–some good and some not so good.
I’m still rooting for James, although I think it’s evident that he wasn’t feeling well. Other than James, my favorite is Will.
Cole sings well, but doesn’t blow me away. In my opinion, Matthew is the weakest of all. Tessane was good on both songs. And, as for Jacquie, she does have quite a voice, but I don’t feel emotionally connected to her songs. I think she’s just singing them, not really feeling what she’s singing. When she stops singing a song that has very emotional words, she can immediately smile. To me when singers put everything they have into a song, it can take them a few seconds to recover from it, but this never happens to her. I completely understand that she is just 16 years old, but at this point, I’m not a big fan.
I didn’t particularly care for James’ first performance because I really didn’t like the song.
I have no idea who the voting public will prefer. I don’t know enough about this show to know who the voting audience is. I’ve read that Blake has a lot of fans who watch and they vote for his team members. So whether or not this plays a part in it, I have no idea.
I will predict that Tessane will not win because I think her Jamaican heritage will turn off some of the voters. But she is certainly a very polished performer.

louise, i just can’t believe anyone would vote for the coach (blake in your example) rather than individual team members. for instance, i am totally not a fan of christina, but i like her two people best, of those left. well, now it is only one. i decided matthew was my favorite, and i’m *really* upset that he was let go this week.
another comment: i was really surprised at how good blake sounded yesterday, singing his christmas song.
and a totally different comment: mcl, last week (i think it was last week) x factor had ‘big band week’, and your guy michael bublee was coach, plus he performed.

Hunter – a big band week? That must have been wonderful. I knows Michael was involved but was. It able to tune in. Make sure you check out his Christmas special in a couple of weeks. 🙂
I am sorry that Matthew was eliminated. I love him and was hoping that he and Jacquie would be the Top 2. I wish him the very best in his musical career

i checked itunes and matthew’s ‘halleluiah’ is the highest rated of the voice downloads, so i’m thinking that a lot of people are missing him.

mcl-i wanted to comment on something from several posts ago. you said that caroline didn’t have ‘star quality’. i had made a comment several posts before that, remarking that i was surprised that to me caroline sounded better on itunes than i expected. gene seconded that. it made me realize, in reading your comment that probably her star quality wasn’t showing while performing, but her talent certainly came across when recording.

Don’t forget Carrie Underwood’s “Sound of Music” tonight on NBC at 8:00 Eastern time, 7:00 Central. Not my usual cup of tea but the commercials for it looked good.
