I am fighting a stomach virus and feeling pretty rough. Not as rough as yesterday so that’s good news!

So I am adding this topic, hoping you can add more in the comments section!

Good luck to all the dancers tonight!! Do you still use the term break a leg for dancers? Well, anyway, you know what I mean!!

She studied piano with Anne Pizzale and later, at an advanced level, with Soeur Anita Vaugeois (Sister Cecile of Les Soeurs De L’Assomption in Timmins). Her vocal and accompaniment skills were nurtured by her aunt, the late Dorothea Mascioli. When Rosanne graduated from O’Gorman High School, she moved on to the University of Toronto where she continued her piano and vocal studies while attaining a Bachelor of Arts Degree. She was hired as a piano accompanist for several musical companies, most notably, the National Ballet Of Canada. She presently holds an A.R.C.T. Teacher’s Diploma in Voice from the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto. Rosanne has studied choral conducting with numerous well known Canadian Conductors, including Wayne Riddell of Montreal, Quebec and the internationally renowned Dr. Elmer Iseler. 1. I’m sorry that you are not feeling well.

Cholesterol reducing meds can cause random flu like symptoms if you are using any of those. I’m beginning to think that is why I’ve had the “something I ate” or “stomach virus” three or four times a year for a while.

It’s Stevie Wonder night on DWTS with the man himself providing all of the accompaniment.

    Get well soon.

  2. Geeze..do ya think they could have stacked the group dance deck any more than what they did???

Kelli, Ingo, and Ally were my favs tonight!!! I love Andy, he comes out with the best attitude and does have so much fun, Victor really tries so hard, and just seems like a pleasant young man!!!

There you are Gene…wondered where you were hiding at; found ya!!!

  3. Hi Vonnie,
I was under a rock. I will have to listen better in the future I guess. I could have sworn Tom said that Stevie would be performing for each of the dances. Not so, but we did get several performances from him and he seemed very happy to be there.

Kellie was outstanding tonight. I thought that she deserved the 10 from Carrie Anne as well. There is no doubt that she is my favorite of the season, but she has also worked very hard.

They seemed to be firing a shot at the fairness issue regarding Zendaya when the point about her schoolwork was brought up. It’s a valid point for all of the school age contestants in these competitions, but the adults, particularly the soap actors, have other commitments as well.

I think the team dances are always stacked.

It’s odd but I have enjoyed every one of Andy’s dances this season. His personality is like a Bassett hound and he has the lovely Sharna to distract the audience. It’s a pretty good combo that seems to work. I’m still trying to get last week’s lesson in wearing shorts that she gave out of my brain.

Victor does seem like a good guy but I think Andy will outlast him. Victor goes home this week.

  4. Gene,

Well, am so glad you came out from under your rock, sure have missed you around here!!!

I think they may be feeling some heat for having Zendaya on the show…gracious go read that girls bio, she could be one of the pro’s!!!

Andy is so much fun to watch, and I do believe that he has won the hearts of America…and he really is trying, he seems to work very hard!!!

Kelly was stunning last night…does Kari Ann have something against her??? She throws 10’s at Zendaya like they are Lollipops but always seems to find something wrong with Kelli….????? She and Derek are just amazing…that guy is a present day Fred Astaire; the other pro’s are really good, but that guy is just magic to watch!!!

Ingo has improved so much, and it is fun to watch one’s like him, get it and actually improve each week…of course he is my soap honey so I gotta cheer for him, but he is deserving of my high school girly pom-pom routines in the living room while he is dancing.. 🙂

Ally is also so cute and doing such a great job!!! The judges give her a hard time too…

  5. Kellie and Derek were fabulous!!! They should do a remake of an Astaire/Rogers movie!

  6. I forgot to mention that I also really liked Mark Ballas’ choreography last night. His partner is good, but is just not at the same level as Kellie Pickler.

Zendaya is extremely talented too, and I really enjoy watching Jacoby even though he has an issue with his feet!!!

  7. I love Jacoby and think the judges are making too much out of his feet. When he is out on that dance floor it’s like magic! He has so much charisma and stage presence and you can’t take your eyes off him. I think the judges have been lowballing his scores.

Zendaya’s cha-cha-cha left me kind of unmoved and disconnected. I didn’t love Val’s choreography and feel that there was something missing. It’s not just about having the technical skill. It’s also about connecting with the audience and getting the feel of the dance. I think the judges have been over scoring her.

Kellie and Derek were overdue for some 10’s finally! They are great together and the choreography was brilliant. I think that Ali is getting better and better and Mark is also doing a great job with their choreography.

I think it’s time for Victor to go. Andy can be entertaining even though he really can’t dance. Victor couldn’t even do as semblance of a rumba. Sean’s lack of musicality and inability to keep up with the music makes it difficult to watch him. Ingo had his best dance with the tango. I think because he’s an actor this was a dramatic dance that suited him. His technique is still lacking, but it was nice to see him step it up.
