American Idol Season 6 Top 4 Finalist, Lakisha Jones, Releases Her New Album

lakishajonesalbumLakisha Jones’ new CD, “So Glad I’m Me” is set to drop on May 19th, 2009, coinciding nicely with the conclusion of American Idol Season 8.

Can we expect to see Queen Lakisha at the finale of American Idol? Time will tell all too well but it would seem to be a plausible assumption.

I, for one, am looking forward to seeing this young lady achieve continued success. As of January 9, 2008, she landed the coveted role of the church soloist in the Broadway musical The Color Purple.

Lakisha played the role of Sofia during matinées (standing in for Chaka Khan) and I can only envision more theatrically based opportunites for her in the future. She embodies a phenomenal vocal gift and dramatically expressive performance skills.

In anticipation of her new album, the first single from her CD, “Let’s Go Celebrate” is being released tomorrow. It’s a great song and I hope that she sells bundles and bundles of downloads. Have a listen over here and from all of us here at MasterclassLady.Com, we would like to congratulate Lakisha on her continued success.

  3. I agree, Louise, she should’ve made it to the finals. I still think Jordin should’ve won, but Lakisha should’ve definitely been Runner-Up that season.
