Masterclass Lady’s December “To Do” List

Okay, I am really behind here and most of you know the reason behind this.  However, time is moving far too quickly and, in order not to feel “out of the loop, it’s time to “take the bull by the horns” and share my views with you about some artists that mean a great deal to me.

So, I thought I would offer a December “to do” list for MasterclassLady.Com and, as each project is completed, I would “cross it off” my list and provide a link to the blog topic.

Also, please feel free to add your requests in the comments section – in case I missed anything.

Her vocal and accompaniment skills were nurtured by her aunt, the late Dorothea Mascioli. When Rosanne graduated from O’Gorman High School, she moved on to the University of Toronto where she continued her piano and vocal studies while attaining a Bachelor of Arts Degree. She was hired as a piano accompanist for several musical companies, most notably, the National Ballet Of Canada. She presently holds an A.R.C.T. Rosanne has studied choral conducting with numerous well known Canadian Conductors, including Wayne Riddell of Montreal, Quebec and the internationally renowned Dr. Elmer Iseler. The ceremony was presided by Lieutenant Governor, Hal Jackman. In November 1997, Rosanne Simunovic was selected by the Rotary Club Of Timmins to receive the prestigious Paul Harris Award for her years of dedication to the artistic development of young musical talent in Timmins. 5. This list scares me and then not! It sort of keeps things in perspective and, in some strange way, I gain a sense of control over these projects.

Still waiting for my dental referral – this alone is more of a headache (well, in this case, a toothache)- than all of the above projects on my list.

Anyway, I am off to meet someone re music liturgy for my Church (should have been on the top of my list – forgot about this meeting until an hour ago)

    Thanks everyone.

  12. This isn’t exactly music to be critiqued, but I know that you have come to appreciate Jason Castro as a person. I think this video accounts for the passion behind Jason’s music, and I thought you would enjoy it.

  14. Really looking forward to your review of Jason Castro’s New Music and Tulsa Performances. The videos I have found are great but none capture the clarity and purity of Jason’s voice live. WOW.

I was fortunate enough to be there and frankly I was blown away.

Hope you are as well MCL

Looking forward to listening and reviewing Jason’s new song material. I have no doubt that it is wonderful – “Sweet Medicine” is outstanding.

  19. Janey – thanks for the link. How beautiful and David always manages to find new melodic elements with each and every song her performs. Gorgeous.

As a side note, I had to share. I am babysitting my almost 3-year-old granddaughter. Last night she was having trouble sleeping, so she cuddled in bed with me and my husband.

She was talking to herself, quietly – I guess this soothes her. And then I heard: “Please Lord, please Lord.” My ears perked up as I listened to this and then she said: “Please Lord, help me to sleep” -over and over. Oh my, it warmed my heart.

This morning I asked her who taught her this and she said – my Mom. Okay – this is the best Christmas gift ever. I raised a beautiful daughter (well two, actually) and she is raising a beautiful daughter – passing on the important things in life.

Sorry – had to share. Proud Nonni here. We now return to our regularly scheduled David Archuleta love fest! haha.

Oh – and ReReader – I hope to tackle Jason’s songs on the weekend, if not before. Your patience is so appreciated at this very busy time of year.

Also – there is a live chat over at http:/wwwcountingdavidscharacter.com this evening featuring yours truly and Dean Kaelin

  20. MCL what a sweet Nonni story to wake up to. I called my grandmother Nonni, too.

Isn’t that one of life’s greatest gifts? Watching your children become parents? Maybe you could share some grandparently advice with Dean tonight. His first grandbaby is due Christmas day!

  30. Hey MCL, there will be another Jason Castro song to review. On Monday, 12/15, White Christmas will be available to download from Amazon. You can hear a preview now at http://www.amazon.com/White-Christmas/dp/B001NR8FN8/ref=sr_1_15?ie=UTF8&s=dmusic&qid=1229219442&sr=8-15 . The little bit I heard sounds great. Did you ever think you’d hear White Christmas on a ukulele? Can’t wait to read what you think of it.

    Like

  31. Haha, cj4jc beat me to it!! And according to Amazon, it will be a free download!

    Like

  32. Yea! But I cabn’t download from Amazon because I live in Canada! Grrrrr. Is it on ITunes? I’ll have to check. Busy with my granddaughter 24/7. Sorry for being so disconnected here, but I am having fun with her.

    CanNOt wait to hear Jason

    Like

  33. MCL, I believe it will not be on iTunes because iTunes requires more lead time to put up a song. But let me know if you cannot download it from the Canadian Amazon site–if you can’t, I will email it to you, it is a free download so no one could possibly object!

It might also be put up on Jason’s MySpace page, that I’m not sure about.

  34. I’m sorry to hear you can’t download from Amazon. So, here’s a video of it recorded by dare2dreamJC last night at the concert in Garland.

  37. ReReader – Amazon.Ca doesn’t sell downloads. Darn! If you could send it to me that would be great. If it’s free, I should be able to download it off the USA site, but who knows?

In a bit of a rush here – off to a Christmas function.

I heard his performance on YouTube – it was very good, but the audio was confusing me. haha His background vocals sounded fuzzy and masked his voice in the video. The Amazon download I am sure will be much better.

Thanks as well to cj4jc! 🙂

  38. No problem, MCL! As soon as I can download it I will email you a copy.
