Murly, I so agree. Adam is candid, charming and eloquent. He knows the Idol game and he could help contestants grow and he awesome to listen to. Also an occasional Adam performance would be to die for.

Adam would be a great judge! He already proved that when he was a mentor a couple of years ago. He was blunt but kind, and he honed in on exactly what each contestant needed to do to improve his or her performance (although some of them didn’t follow his advice and it was to their detriment). I think a panel of judges made up of former contestants would go a long way toward giving Idol a sense of family and thus make it more appealing for the viewers.

Yes please!!! Adam would be a great judge! Have you guys seen him judging at the Chinese Idol? That was perfect! And when he was the mentor back in season 9 he did great! He would be the funny, crazy, impartial, lovely, serious and everything else in one! I don’t know who would be my picks for the other 3 judges but I like Kelly Clarkson a lot. Selecting allums as judges would be a new thing on the singing reality show industry, since none The Voice or X Factor have this many allums as AI does. it would be fresh and something the public has never seen before, it would certainly bring back the audience – and the fanbases – and the ratings would be as high as the sky!

Yes, three judges is the best format. I wonder if AI has ever considered their alumni and, if so, why hasn’t it happened? Adam was a great mentor when he appeared on Idol.

They could have two-non -alumni and one alumnus and rotate the latter – or former and latter every year.

Very true MCL. As Sigi indicates above I would prefer only 3 judges so that song/performance time could be increased. Adam-Kelly-Taylor or Cook would be awesome additions to the judging panel.

Aubry – you as right. David is extremely articulate and very intelligent. But, Taylor is a strategist – he played the game very well when he appeared on American Idol. He has a lot to offer. Both are excellent and would add extraordinary value to this show.

MCL, I actually would prefer David Cook to Taylor as Cook is more articulate that Taylor. Taylor is funny and would bring lightness. Adam can be Simon like in his bluntness like telling Lee nothing was happening on his face. LOL but an all idol alumn judging panel would be interesting and would bring some huge fanbases back to watching. Let the fanwars re-begin.

American Idol need to go. It is not about the judges. Big mistake to bring Adam Lambert. Just like Nikki Minaj We need only 3 judges and some one like Simon and all about music not about the hair and how they dress.

Janey – I honestly thought she was singing live until the upper head voice vocals came into play. Personally, I feel it was a little of both but, at the end of the day, her legend speaks for itself. Those songs were amazing. Such beautiful vocal artistry.

Mike Krompass, one of David A’s guitarist posted on Facebook, ” Mariah is killing it on idol!!! She still is amazing and makes these other singers look so armature. Absolutely flawless performance by a truly great singer that has obviously worked at her craft. Number one female selling artist ever and she deserves that title.”

When the question of lip syncing came up Mike answered, “She wasn’t lip syncing, trust me. She had some over dubbed vocals on track that’s all….the lead vocal was live. I’ve played on idol before, the vox are live. She changed the inflections and there were slight pitch imperfections… But all in all , a really killer performance. People quite often confuse backing track vocals and back ground vocals with lip syncing… So if the guy mixing puts those bgvs a lil high, they can cloud the lead and make it appear like a lip sync when in fact it’s hat the tracks are too loud.”

I thought this was interesting information. What do you think, MCL?

Aubry – yes I agree. David Cook would be amazing as well.. Very articulate. But, he strikes me as shy, so hard to say if he would be comfortable in this role. I love him though.

Ahh that would be so awesome. Incredible and I like the other Idols you have named. Kelly, Taylor and Melinda would round out the judges nicely. But Adam is my fav fav fav. I could listen to Adam say words over and over. Also so eloquent and charming. What would he wear? Always so fashionable. Having former successful idols is a plus. They have been there done that.

Aubry – you are absolutely right. I really need get to discussing Adam ‘s vocal gift here on this blogging community. He really is a well-rounded artist, someone who can pretty much do it all. That beautiful, understated duet between he and Angie was one of the finest moments I have ever seen on American Idol. It was vocal perfection.

I do believe that Angie is a very marketable artist and will move deep within the music industry. She is not going anywhere but up.

But, to see someone with Candice’s impeccable vocal gift emerge as the winner is very, very exciting. She is not your normal mainstream artist – she is a soulful, jazz-inspired and theatrical performer, as far removed from the WGWG winner syndrome as one can be.

And I couldn’t be happier. Ecstatic beyond words.

As for where Phillip Philips was, he is recuperating from Kidney Failure. He had to cancel the remaining college concerts and try and get better before he heads out with John Mayer.

So the poor kid obviously still has severe kidney problems.

I absolutely saw when she was talking to the audience and then had to catch up with the song. It was comical. LOL It was almost worst then a silent movie with background music down.. There was almost never a time in that song when she was mouthing in time. OMG. I love Mariahs singing but obviously there’s an art to lip syncing and Beyoncee has it down.
