I don’t know if y’all were experiencing sound issues during this live performance of Landau Eugene Murphy Jr. and Patti Labelle, but we were definitely hurting here in Canada. It was frustrating. All we could hear was noise mixed in with dissonant harmony. Awful!

Look and listen to what we missed. Landau disrobed his Frank Sinatra coat and channelled some serious R&B in the company of his idol, Patti Labelle. What a revelation, This guy can sing pretty well anything.

Pack your bags and get ready for Vegas! Landau Eugene Murphy Jr. Is ready to headline in “the city of lights that never sleeps” in the imminent future and I couldn’t be happier.

The “rags to riches” story behind Landau’s rise to fame via America’s Got Talent is something very, very special, mirroring his enormous, God-given talent.

I know that he will be a musical entity in our lives for a very long time.

I want to thank him, along with Michael Buble and Harry Connick Jr., for bringing back the beauty and magic of the big band era.

Special congratulations to POPLYFE, Team iLuminate and Runner-Up Silhouettes for their memorable and inspiring performances on this year’s season of America’s Got Talent..

I know that we have not seen the last of these three acts. Their rise to fame is only beginning. Enjoy the ride! We’ll be right there with you.

Well, this is a mighty fine Top 4 if I do say so myself. Each act brings a uniquely different performing element to the show and, at this stage of the game, all are winners.

Scheduled to perform for your precious votes this evening are outstanding retro vocalist Landau Eugene Murphy, throwback teen pop group POPLYFE, creative shadow dancers Silhouettes and the innovative Team iLuminate.

I have no idea who the winner could be but I will bet that one of the Top 2 is Landau with either Team iLuminate or Silhouettes garnering the other Top 2 spot.

It would be great to see both Silhouettes and Team iLuminate in the Top 2. It would be nice if someone other than a singer could grab this coveted honor.

However, I just don’t think that’s going to happen. Landau is an unstoppable force right now, a talent that will only get better and better with time. I would buy his CD in a heartbeat and, of the four remaining acts, the only one who would motivate me to pack a bag for Vegas.

And, seeing that Tony Bennett is performing on the Results Finale tomorrow night, you just know that a duet between the two is in the air. Ah yes, this is the start of something mighty big for our humble car washer.

The above video of Landau Eugene Murphy Jr.’s performance on last night’s Top Ten America’s Got Talent show was one of those rare moments where chills go up and down my spine.

Can anyone believe that this man was washing cars a couple of months ago, hiding his enormous talent under a cloud of washing foam and automobile fumes?

He knocked his performance of Dean Martin’s “Ain’t That A Kick In The Head” out of a thousand ballparks. He is so ready and so deserving to take Las Vegas by storm.

With that being said, here is my prediction for the Top 4: Landau Eugene Murphy, Silhouettes, Team iLuminate are shoo-ins and the 4th act should be POPLYFE. The latter act was a little harmonic deficient last night but they do have the goods. They are gutsy, unique and fun to watch on stage.

And my personal predictions for the Top 2 is Landau Eugene Murphy Jr. and Team iLuminate. if you doubt me, then hop on over to the America’s Got Talent home page and see which two acts are featured videos.

I am hoping that Landau wins but I do feel Team iLuminate will take the crown this year. America’s Got Talent has been crowning singers lately so it would be good to see something other than a singing act take the crown this season.

Tune in tonight for the results and more. Howie Mandel takes to the stage with his zany antics. Il Divo will scream their way into our living rooms and, more important, our Top 4 Finalists will be announced. Top 4? They needed a Top 5 this year, even a Top 6; the talent is incredibly deep.

Over at the America’s Got Talent Official Site, acclaimed retro singer Landau Eugene Murphy Jr. has landed two spots on the homepage: one featuring him and the other featuring him hugging 11-year-old singing sensation Anna Graceman.

Is this a prediction of things to come? A repeat of last year’s scenario where Michael Grimm and Jackie Evancho were the last two standing?

It’s hard to say. There is a ton of talent in this Top 10 and tonight they will all be competing for a spot in the Top 5 which will air next Tuesday.

However, I do feel that Landau is generating a great deal of buzz in the media and I don’t know anyone who doesn’t like the guy. His talent is something very special and I am sure the Las Vegas crowd will be lining up to see this guy. I know I will. He is pure magic to watch, his raw talent an entity that comes along once in a lifetime.

Tomorrow’s Results Show will bare all and we will be one step closer to crowning our new winner.

And scheduled to appear on tomorrow’s show are Il Divo and Def Leppard. A lot to look forward too over the next 32 hours or so.

Well, guess what Landau Eugene Murphy Jr? We are in love with you too. We love everything about you: your humble backstory, your charisma, your gentle soul and your enormously unique talent.

To hear Frank Sinatra’s voice emanating from your cool, hip body is simply a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

This is why I love America’s Got Talent so much. Without the confines of age restriction or entertainment genre, the show is able to discover the true hidden gems in the country.

A huge cloak has been lifted from the majority of entertainment acts in the country to reveal artists with drive, ambition, unique focus and innovative design. Quite simply, this is a marvelous sight to behold week after week on America’s Got Talent.

But, with Landau, I believe that America’s Got Talent has discovered their version of Britain’s Got Talent’s Susan Boyle.

I am sure we can all envision Landau headlining a Frank Sinatra tribute show in Las Vegas. The guy is ready – he is quite polished in fact – to take Las Vegas by storm. And with further coaching and refinement he will be unstoppable.

They better hurry up with his CD – it’s going to sell like hotcakes, just in time for the holiday season.

Tonight, the second group of semi-finalists will strut their stuff in an effort to gain entry into next week’s Top 10 show.

There are some strong frontrunners in this Group of 12, including singers Landau Eugene Murphy Jr. and Anna Graceman, magician Landon Swank, innovative dancing act Silhouettes and the incredible gymnastic ability of Gymkana.

In addition, the novelty acts of the Kinetic King and Professor Splash should contribute added dimension and entertainment value to this semi-final show.

This is it! We are coming down to the wire. This evening, twelve of the twenty-four acts will be featured in the first semi-final show.

The talent is incredible this year on America’s Got Talent- very diverse and very professional.

Being featured in this first show are Zuma Zuma, teen pop group extraordinaire Poplyfe, singer/composer Daniel Joseph Baker, Team ILuminate, singer Kevin Colis, ballet dancer Beth Ann Robinson, to name a few.

It is going to be a great evening of entertainment, so pop that corn, enjoy the show and then come back to add your comments.

Somewhere, an innovative videographer by the name of SevenDeuce 72 is working incognito and needs to be discovered and hired by a film and animation company.

On tonight’s show, twelve acts will gain the opportunity to move deeper into this competition on America’s Got Talent.

To date, it is a very talented, diverse line-up and it’s anyone’s guess who will ultimately win the million dollar prize.

However, one thing is certain, many superstars will be born this year and I will venture to guess who they will be: Landau Eugene Murphy Jr., Anna Graceman, Daniel Joseph Baker, Team I.Luminate, Gymkana, Silhouettes, and, quite possibly, Kevin Colis.

These are the acts that impressed me and I realize that I have left out many others. This is how deep the talent runs this season.

Tonight we finally get to see and hear the YouTube talent discovered by the Season Six America’s Got Talent Team. So, there are still some valuable hidden gems out there.

Remember, this time last year, we witnessed the beginning of Jackie Evancho’s career. She was Season Five’s YouTube discovery and sang her way to the Finale with extraordinary finesse and poise.

I can’t wait to see tonight’s show. The show already has a stellar line-up, what with Landau-Eugene Murphy Jr., Daniel Joseph Baker, Anna Graceman, Silhouettes and Team iLuminate.

However, twelve acts will either wow us or no. Remember, they were discovered via YouTube so they have not had the opportunity to perform before a live audience. That alone heightens the suspense.

This season on America’s Got Talent, there is a precious vocal gem named Landau Eugene Murphy Jr.

And nobody brings a smile to my face like this extraordinary vocalist. The iconic sound of Frank Sinatra pouring from Landau’s singing voice is a surreal, yet very special experience to see and hear.

This video, although disjointed at times, is a clever way to pay tribute to Landau.

Although Landau does need further coaching, one must remember that even ‘ole blue eyes himself consulted the operatic coaches in an effort to refine and heighten his vocal skills.

So far, this show, with a few exceptions, has failed to disappoint. There is some serious star power happening this year on America’s Got Talent

One of my favorite acts this year is Illuminate and they will most assuredly light up this evening’s program (pun intended).

I can’t think of a better way to relax in the late evening than to treat myself to a decaf, some popcorn and two hours of live AGT entertainment.

Have you picked your favorites yet? I love Anna Graceman, Daniel Joseph Baker and Silhouettes and am looking forward to seeing Landau Eugene Murphy’s performance on the show. Not sure if tonight’s his night, but the suspense is killing me here.

I did think, however, that magician Landon Swank should have advanced before the biker boys. I mean, how many things can one do with a bike? It’s tedious really. Maybe (fingers crossed) he will be back for the Wild Card Show.

I am also not giving hope on Dani Shay. She is really a spectacular vocalist and deserves another shot.

This is a rushed entry for tonight’s show. I have no idea who is in the second group of performers. Why is there so little information on the AGT website about this? It’s puzzling.

At any rate, I know we are in for a wonderful show once again. The talent is ridiculously good this year and they haven’t even announced the finalists in the YouTube auditions. Plus there is the Wild Card show as well. At least, I think there is. We shall know in a few weeks.

And don’t forget that judge Howie Mandel usually hosts a fun loving Twitter Party during the AGT telecast. However, it is a live show, so it may not happen. We shall see.

Hello hello, everyone!

I have been enjoying the summer and the endless stream of visitors who inevitably land on my doorstep at this wonderful time of year.

Therefore, I apologize for the lack of updates here in the MCL community.

However, I am looking forward to the first America’s Got Talent Season 6 live show tonight.

Twelve acts from the chosen 48 will be performing and, tomorrow, once the votes are tabulated, 3 or 4 will advance to the finals. Wasn’t it 3 last season? An article from this site claims 4 (shrug). And for the life of me, I can’t find the answer on the AGT Official Site.

On Tuesday, the acts seen on stage will be Sandou Trio Russian Bar, Duo Aero, Fearless Flores Family, Anna Graceman, Dezmond Meeks, J Chris Newberg, Miami All-Stars, Snap Boogie, Squonk Opera, The Fiddleheads, Echo of Animal Gardens, and Those Funny Little People.

Tune in tonight at 9:00 P.M. on the peacock channel-NBC. Wednesday’s results show will feature Avril Lavigne singing her two hits “What the Hell” and “Smile”.

And don’t forget that judge Howie Mandel usually hosts a fun loving Twitter Party during the AGT telecast. However, it is a live show, so it may not happen. We shall see.

Tonight and Wednesdays are my favorite nights of the week for television, starting with America’s Got Talent at 8:00 P.M. followed by The Voice at 9:00 – all on NBC. However, the shows switch time slots on Wednesday – don’t ask me why. No wonder the ratings are so sporadic.

Anyway, the talent on America’s Got Talent is simply outstanding this year – magicians, dancers and singers offering something very new and refreshing to the entertainment world.

However, at this point in time, if I had to pick a favorite, it would be the retro vocals of 36-year-old Landau Eugene Murphy

The Frank Sinatra voice pouring from his very un-retro look and presence was just so exciting! And so very moving. This young man has carried his undiscovered remarkable vocal talent around for years, washing cars and just basically living a normal life.

But there is nothing normal about Landau. Uh! Uh! He is exceptional and is destined for superstardom if mentored by the right people. David Foster, are your reading this?

I also fell in love with 11-year-old Anna Graceman. This talented singer/pianist is brilliant -gorgeous voice, sublime vocal technique and lovely, genuine stage presence.

Can this show get any better? Are there bigger stars than Landau and Anna to be discovered?

I found a great article today on one of my favorite entertainers in the world, the quirky and deliciously crazy Howie Mandel.

This article not only highlights Howie’s OCD in vivid detail but also informs us to why he has become such an enormous success story over the last decade or so.

Truth be told, he has been a talented comedian most of his life and has worked extremely hard at his craft.

However, through various high profile shows like Deal Or No Deal and now the phenomenally successful America’s Got Talent, his star has risen to astronomical heights.

In fact, Howie was the reason I began watching America’s Got Talent last season and I am sure many others tuned into the show religiously to see Howie weave his magic, much to the chagrin of the more sedate Piers Morgan.

Sharon Osbourne acts as the perfect buffer for the shenanigans of Piers and Howie and, together, the chemistry between the three of them is pure magic.

The one statement that truly impressed me in this article was this Howie revelation:

“And that’s why as a judge I have a lot of empathy for anyone who just shows up. And I’m fascinated by quirkiness. I love originality. I crave it and I watch it on TV. My TV is on 24 hours a day, I’ll watch a non-English speaking infomercial. I will sit for hours on the internet watching Youtube”.

Those of us who Twitter know the colorful truth of this statement. Howie is an entertaining presence on Twitter, generously in touch with his fans, particularly on Tuesday evenings when America’s Got Talent is aired.

This is a great read for today’s Masterclass Monday and provides incredible insight into the genius of Howie Mandel.

I must keep reminding myself that America’s Got Talent airs twice each week during the preliminary audition phase.

So, this blog topic will serve as fodder for your comments about Tuesday and Wednesday’s shows.

Also, I should tell you that an hilarious party is hosted by judges Piers Morgan and Howie Mandel over on Twitter while the show airs.

Since this portion of the show was pre-taped, both Piers and Howie are fancy-free to connect with the fans.

What a blast! It’s worth the Twitter sign-up just to witness and enjoy the free entertainment.

Who knows where Sharon Osbourne is? She is a Twitter fan, but I guess has relegated the banter to the boys.

Enjoy the shows – airing on NBC at 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday as a lead-in for The Voice, followed by two shows on Wednesday beginning at 9:00 P.M.

Are you ready for some more zany and entertaining antics from America’s Got Talent? This show is the highlight of my week in terms of pure, unadulterated entertainment.

From the wild and wonderful chemistry between judges Piers Morgan, Sharon Osbourne and Howie Mandel to the exciting and innovative talent being discovered through the audition process, I have to say that this show has it all, all, all!

The vaudevillian-like atmosphere makes for an hour of superlative and creative entertainment. There is something for everyone.

And the super, fast, pace of the segments are very well produced. No time to get bored while watching this show and therein lies their secret. It is a show designed specifically for the instant form of gratification that viewers now crave, especially young children.

Tune in tonight at 8:00 P.M. Eastern on NBC as the AGT team travel to Seattle to unleash some more spectacular acts.
