I’m late! I’m late!! For a very important date! And that date would be with…

America’s Got Talent!

Summertime is fun but it sure can mess with your head. The longer days and outdoor activities leave me a tad confused here. Ha! But, have to confess that I love it. And I am sure you all do as well.

So, it is difficult to drag yourself inside when the weather is so gorgeous.

However, America’s Got Talent has plenty of sunshine on that stage this year so, sit back and watch the best entertainment show on Television. Love it!

The show begins at 8:00 PM on NBC on Tuesday, June 17th.

  1. Tonight’s show was quite entertaining. Several singers really appealed to me as well as dancers, magicians, etc. I have no idea how they will narrow down these acts this summer.

  2. I know Louise. Should be interesting to see who makes the cut to the life shows. I loved American Authors – the vocal quartet. Oh – and the 12-year-old comedian was a huge surprise. Funny stuff. Loved the magician as well.

  3. Hi There!

I loved the lady in the red dress that sang, she had the guy playing a guitar with her; what an old country/jazzy sound she had.

I like the other hand balancer better than the one last night!

Louise, you are right, how in the world are they going to choose from this group so far! great talent!

  7. Vonnie, I also liked the female singer in the red dress. I think she had a bit of a Patsy Cline sound. I really loved her voice.

  8. Louise,

I told the hubby the same thing, she did sound a lot like Patsy Cline! Loved her! 🙂

  9. I liked a number of performances. I loved 12-year old magician, the comedian – I wonder how they are going to choose since I liked the magician and comedian we’ve seen before too. Many good dancing groups. Several singers.

Could’ve done without stripping opera singer. Really, if she wanted to strip, could’ve she at least picked an aria or a song where it made some remote sense story-wise? Something where the character is a party girl or a woman trying to seduce a man?

  10. Kitty – I agree. The song was not conducive to this behaviour. She should have performed the Habanera from Carmen. Haha

  11. There was a special AGT show on TV last night (Sunday), and there were two singers who were terrific. One was an 11 year old girl, and the other a 74 year old man who had a Tony Bennett sound.

  12. Louise – I totally forgot about last night’s show. Darn. I hope they replay it. Would love to hear the Tony Bennett guy. 🙂

  13. Today I called up On Demand and watched the new ABC show Rising Star. I didn’t like it at all. It was two hours long and there were 10 singers who each sang only a brief time. The rest of the time was filled with much too much talking and commercials. This was the worst reality talent competition I’ve seen. It definitely needs a lot of help. I wasn’t thrilled with the judges either. And as much as I love Josh Groban (and I really do!!!), he was not well-suited to be the show’s host.

  14. MCL, Here is the link to Frank’s performance (the 74 year old gentleman who sounds like a combination of Tony Bennett and Frank Sinatra) . . .

  15. Oh Louise! I love this video, I watched some of Sunday night but missed this guy! Wow! he is amazing!

I watched Rising Star too…it seemed really rushed, but three of the singers I really like, the first person to sing, he was really good, Jesse the young guy with the old sound and the blond girl that sang the country song!

  16. Louise – thank you!! I love Frank. I just added his performance to my topic for tonight’s show.
